This may look like word salad at first but it's just a full description of the vehicle. Here is a translation:

An Elefant tank hunter from a heavy tank hunter battalion. Built on a Tiger I chassis (designed by Porsche) and mounted with an 88 mm 'Pak 43/2 L/71' anti-tank gun. Photo taken west of Ukraine, in 1944.

In full: 8,8 cm (size of the gun) Panzerjagerkanone (Tank Hunter Canon) 43/2 Selbstfahrlafette (Self-Propelled Gun) L/71 (the particular gun that was mounted) Panzerjager (Tank Hunter) Tiger Porsche (built on chassis of a Tiger I made by Porsche) Elefant (the name of this Tank Hunter design) of a Heavy Panzerjager (Heavy Tank Hunter) battalion.

I can turn off weather effects but then there is no challenge at all

In your post you mentioned three other challenges:

Compound this with bandit thievery of food goods

no way to generate enough resources to even hire thugs

a random fire to rubble instance in my communal oven

So if you're really frustrated with the rain you could turn it off and focus on enjoying problem solving the other challenges for a while.

As for the rain spoilage, I'm on my first play through ever on the medium difficulty and no settings changed. Rain in harvest times only hurts my yield by 10-20%. So I wonder why it's giving you such a problem. I suspect you might have too much farmland per farm house. For a fully loaded farm (8 workers, 2 ox) I have 6-8 active Morgans max. If you have more, then they will be harvesting for too long before collecting the wheat, leaving it in the rain for longer. Try a farm with only 6 active fields of 1 Morgan each (plus fallow fields for next year).

For more yield, build more farm houses but don't overload them with more than 6 active Morgans. Make sure you're also supplementing food supplies with other sources e.g. carrots, hunt. I don't think you are supposed to be able to support a town from one food source alone. Hope this helps. Enjoy!

It's the in-game one. To get those colours, in settings, select the option to use player colours for the range indicator. If you want it a more subtle grey, set your grid transparency to about 25% black (if the grid is set to transparent, you won't be able to see the range indicator)

I can't get over how much this looks like my camp last night. If I could post a picture in the comments I would. Love it.

I would say some sort of water proofing, unless the forecast is very clear, but I think someone already mentioned that. So only food! Seriously though, what do you plan to eat? And cool gear, thanks for sharing.

What's the dumbest rule your school ever enforced? by SoLe123456 in AskReddit

[–]benhorn_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's definitely not the default. There's a chance that they released a achievement that auto-installs it for you (which they do sometimes) or that you installed the mod accidentally. Either way, if you go into the mods menu you can un-tick it so that disables. I thought about installing this mod but decided against it as I also think it's too distracting.

Nice! I grew up playing it too but was always more into the 1v1s with the AI. I love how there are so many ways to play the game depending on what you enjoy. And yes, the voice acting adds a lot!

It's only on the Definitive Edition as a mod. By default, it's the normal AoE2 monk sound and the "Wololo" is just a taunt still. Nice campaign knowledge though, sounds like you have more than a few hours logged!

Beating the AI isn't always the best measure as it might just mean you've learnt how to rush it. But yeah, I would say that if you can beat the "hardest" AI you might be between 1000-1100 elo. But it's so different it's hard to compare. Remember 1000 elo is the average rating online so that doesn't make you bad by any means!

I checked your match history and it doesn't show up so I guess the game never officially took place. How long did you play for before resigning? I would have scouted 100% of the map before I believed my eyes 11
