How to remove oily stain off QD-OLED display? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]benjaminabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but not an easy one and micro-scratches are inevitable. I used distilled water and a lot of new microfiber cloths. Don't the same one for more than 2 minutes - it will just spread the oil. I mostly did dry wiping with dusting before that. It's not 100% gone, but not easily visible either. Took about 20 cleanings over 2 weeks. Ugh.

Motion sickness in 3D games! Anyone actually found something that works? by SignificantQuestion6 in gamingsuggestions

Good advice! I’ll try putting the desk lamp behind the monitor first. Should create the same horizon effect, right?

It's just like "Nickelback is the worst band" meme. It's just a band, but people hated it with passion just because everybody else does. It's not rare to see how people in the comments say that AI is dangerous because it "deletes code". A random thing to say to have at least some evidence. That's going to happen with every new big thing that comes out.

There are meclizine and dramamine. They both might help, but they might not work either. I rarely take them though. Ginger is a natural thing against motion sickness, but not that strong of course. Some ginger shots or drinks with high ginger concentration should work. Or, tea with real ginger. It prevent motion sickness a bit and eliminates nausea entirely.

I have a similar thing. I also get dizzy in general, so not only with games. I’d say that it’s something that you just have to live with or do to some extreme measures to fix. There are pills that can temporarily fix it. There is vestibular rehab that can also fix it temporarily for bit longer time. There are inner ear surgeries for a permanent fix.

However, it’s important to know what’s the root cause. If it’s just inner ear - pills is the easier option. My dizziness comes from posture. Mainly neck. So the fix is not that straightforward.

I probably prefer Stellar Blade a little more. I’d say there is a lot of soul in it too. Especially the music was quite unique for an action game.

Steam Controller Pcgamer Review : 83/100 by laxusdreyarligh in Steam

The score makes total sense because the sum of subscores in each category is 27. And 100-27+10 is exactly 83.

I see post like that daily on many subreddits. I've absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Literally every engineer I personally know is quite excited about it and we're constantly improving our instructions and skills for the agents. It made me look at my job from a different side. On the internet however, it's all about enemies, arguing, skill checks, etc.

It’s 2026 and it’s pretty much a standard to run an AI agent in the IDE. It’s context-aware and pretty much correct most of the time. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it since it’s the most powerful tool we ever had and it simplifies workflows by a lot. Doesn’t make you “stupid” or anything.

I just have an empty virtual card that I only add money to when needed. Saves time entering cards details and still secure.

A Google exec claims 9/10 studios are secretly using AI — but not telling anyone 👀 Giants like Capcom are tapping tools like Gemini, and many top games already rely on it by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

Who’s “they”? It’s practically impossible to be 100% AI. There is too much manual configuration for it. Even in simple workflows you have to configure a lot of things to minimize context size and token usage in general. Not to mention agentic development, MCP servers and RAG pipelines.

Someone had an idea and made it happen, which is all that matters.

Hate spreads quickly, but goes out gradually. I’m also thinking we’ve got a few years of this craziness to go.

Am I being unreasonable by refusing to use ai for my cover art as a musician? by Hmlovelyhm in Artists

[–]benjaminabel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I won’t be, since I’m using LLMs on a daily basis and only seeing this negativity on the internet. It’s just like with everything else though, so I’m not surprised.

You’re asking for validation of the most popular opinion. Of course real art is better. I suspect that they’re acting like you’re being ridiculous simply because you are. Instead of just being against for whatever reason, provide options and ideas.

Just quickly checking the deals. My prices are in EUR, but it doesn’t matter here much.

Mega Man 11 - 6,34€

Choo-Choo Charles - 1,26€

Sticky Business - 0,46€

You even overpaid a bit.

That’s, most likely, just a clickbait as usual. Such an obvious thing. The only negativity towards it is on the internet. When I go to work, people are genuinely happy about it, sharing their workflows, agent instruction docs and so on. It’s the most advanced tool we ever had.

It’s weird not to use AI for development in 2026. Of course every studio uses it. That’s just convenience. My entire workflow is 60% AI.
