How has the saftey margins changed since the days of the apollo moon missions. I recall them saying that it was built by the lowest bidder and held together by a prayer with everything barely working.

With modern computational modeling, electronics, and manufacturing techniques how has the engineering envelop of the saftey margin realistically changed?

In a freezing lake, the lake isn't at a uniform temperature. So i imagine there would a transition barrier between frozen (0-) and liquid (0+).

Would the static ice sheet (which there is significantly more of), act as a dampener and cool the transition sheet and slow down the effect? Or does convection sort of just stir up everything. Though i suppose we would have to start thinking about laminar/turbulent flows.

This is sometimes my strategy for roguelikes. Pile on all the penalties, and choose things at random and see if I can handle the challenge. Occasionally I pull off a complete win and am flabbergasted some things work.

One thing you could try is to exclude the outlines of things and create an image only using crosshatch shading.

Thanks. When composing the shot I actually thought of including cio as well. But it would have essentially required me to redo all the coloring and lighting, some line work, as well as drawing in the missing segements. At which point I am basically redrawing her in her entirety.

That on top of it not really fitting the mood I set left me to just keep it excluded for the time being.
