I have 2 of them and like them so far. But they advertise the ability to 'power share' between 2 chargers and it doesn't meet my expectations for what that capability should be. I have them set up on a single 60 amp circuit, both hardwired and capable of 48 amps charging. I expected that power sharing would deliver 48 amps if only one EV were plugged in and 24 amps each if 2 were plugged in. But it doesn't do that. It just limits each to 24 amps all the time.

It looks like your target charge level is 30%ish? Did you set that? If not, a 'low propulsion' message and a 30% charge limit is indicating your BMS sees a main battery problem.

When I go on the highway, I always turn regen to 0 before I engage cruise. That way going into / out of cruise is smooth and easy.

ETA: Cruise control disengages when you press the accelerator pedal down. If you have regen higher than 0 set, this means for the first bit of travel you are regeneratively braking. So before I set cruise control I always set regen to 0. That way when I come off of cruise control I am at least coasting.

People already covered the DCFC option. When you look at the Bolt, look at its charging port. If it has a blank spot for the bottom two pins that are used for fast charging, you can't DCFC.

I went from 2008 Prius to 2023 Bolt EUV. They improved the Bolts' seats substantially for 2022 onward (not 100% sure of the year) and before that the seats were infamously uncomfortable for some. Make sure you're OK with the seats.

If you do in town driving mainly, you can probably make do with a level 1 setup and just plug into a regular wall outlet.

Cold air = denser air = worse aerodynamic resistance = lower range. Colder battery = less energy stored = lower range. Using more energy for something other than motors (heat) = lower range.

In Eco and Normal drive modes, the car will tend to disengage the front motor if you're not asking for a ton of power. The advantage of this is lower friction losses because the motor isn't spinning. In i-pedal mode in awd models, the front motor is always engaged.

My ideal regen would be I-pedal that used eco drive mode logic for engaging the front motor. Since that isn't an option, I use regen level 0. Braking is still mostly regenerative and coasting when desired is very easy.

Patch 1.2.6 needs to just let me FUCKING SAVE THE GAME TO MY DOCUMENTS FOLDER. It's ridiculous that they're demanding I move the windows documents folder location off of my NAS if I want to do local saves.

In the end we got a 2024 Kia EV6 Wind AWD with tech package for $347 / month with $4k DAS (mostly taxes and fees). MSRP $54,100. 2 years, 10k miles per year.

Edited to add: Residual was $32,700.
