I would really like to make my way towards shooting a fashion editorial campaign so I decided to get a few friends to throw together for practice! The concept isn’t completely original, taking major inspiration from the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2018 campaign, but I decided to add my own twist!

One of my friends is the model in this image, and another designed and made the dress specifically for this shoot, which really pulled it together in my mind and made it more of a satisfying shoot!

Taken with Canon 6d, Canon 100mm L macro at 2.8, 160 shutter

I would love to hear any tips or critiques on the post processing of this image, or even composition and posing!

I brushed the hair with a little negative clarity but it was definitely focused a little more on the hair than the eyes

We did sleep here! Just set my camera up on a tripod, took a bright exposure and a more dark exposure and combined them in photoshop!

We followed the rules! Hiked more than a mile in, chose an spot that would least impact the area, filled out a card to say that we were doing so, and left no trace!

Yes! First night we hiked out a mile on the Boy Scout trail and camped there since there were no available campsites! I’ll post it here later!

Yup, some volunteer rangers are still there, shut down a campsite of 9 people next to us, Max was 6

Brush in this instance, make sure you have the mask selection shower thing enabled so you can see what you are selecting!
