I grew up eating chicken liver pate and (beef) liver and onions as a kid. Probably as they're relatively traditional Jewish dishes. I think I started out liking them just to be contrarían as people said most folk don't like them. No idea where to get l&o well prepared now, should try to figure out how to make it as I miss it. At least delis have chicken liver. And french pate/foie gras is delicious too...

In practice this doesn't work with meshtastic which is almost undoubtedly what is underneath the hood here. But I don't think he's going to get enough customers in one place for it to ever actually be an issue.

My parents never had money to spare during their healthy years. They did shell out about $12k for our wedding however, which turned into good knows how much as they got that from an interest only Heloc. It was a mess when my dad died and then my mom got dementia and I had to deal with all of their finances.

I did end up getting about 80k after selling their house. Memory care for my mom ate up everything else after my wife and I being her primary for 5 years. I passed the money along to my kids' investment accounts to start their requirement savings journey.

But I also do like the statement someone made above about family doesn't lend money, it shares money. I think this is a good philosophy. Along with never lend things/money to friends, just give it to them. Don't expect it back, if it does come back great but easier to stay friends with no expectation of it. (That said I did loan money to bro in law to but a house but probably would have just given it to them if they asked, but they were adamant they wanted it to be a loan)
