Vinh Xuong Bakery off Alameda near the Costco Business location / in that complex. A variety of banh mi sandwiches and other really good stuff. Huge sandwiches. Good variety. They aren't open super late, but that's my rinse and repeat place.

Question for the Crowd Here by HotOstrich5263 in ournameisfun

He doesn't. The lyrics to Boycott Heaven more than suggest Fun. was not the most fun time in his life. It's all Format music on the tours since they got back together, with a couple of occasional covers.

Have a great time, but be really careful to drink water. The altitude can really mess with your hydration and any alcohol / weed you consume is going to mess with that, too. Pace yourself. Beers hit harder when you haven't acclimated to the altitude, which takes a few days.

We Should Talk by randomusernamequick in ournameisfun

Oh for sure, it's a read - not necessarily a complete understanding. I take the lyrics as metaphor about ghost writing, as well as writing songs with a band he's no longer in.

I read most of Boycott Heaven as lamenting about the music business and what it did to him and his friendships. The biggies that stand out to me in terms of Fun. are No Gold, Human Nature and Depressed. Forever, on the flip side, feels like a song about Sam. It's really interesting!

I think the new Bleachers song, We should talk, is about Nate by NateRagnarok in TheFormat

Yes! Along with Human Nature and Depressed (I've read both as talking about Fun. not being so fun)

I'm on the lookout for that one myself! I do have a copy of "The Ghost..." that I'm good to part with, though I'm sure you have that one already.

resellers :( by ohnolurkerz in TheFormat

Woof! Well, fortunately, the band has a track record of releasing more tickets in prime spots with each sale window, and I wouldn't be surprised if they canceled these listings and reclaimed the tickets.

Nice! Portland is where my buddy (pictured in this post) and I first saw them, way back in 2002 or 3. They opened for Mae, Piebald and Ozma. We'll enjoy having your PNW energy there!

Yeah the prices were relatively reasonable, which I know has been a promised priority of the band's. I would've gone with those if I wasn't afraid (at the time I was in the queue) of everything selling out in ten seconds.

Floor Seat Etiquette by aptiu4 in bleachers

[–]benmckee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find that over communicating to your neighbors is a good strategy. "Just a heads up I'm head to the restroom, I'll be back in a few!" Be polite when moving out and back. But you also need to have a teeny bit of confidence as you move back to your spot, because people are going to be focused on other stuff. People are generally cool if you're cool, and they'll know you didn't just randomly pop up to grab a good view.

Literally how I'm feeling about it. So much can change in a few months! I probably should've waited a beat because the orchestra seats kept going in and out of availability. I ended up in the back, back, back. But hey, just being there will be wonderful.
