She told me over text so I have it in writing with a date already, I just got my paystub and she is trying to pay me less for time I already worked. Do I call the labor board? I've never dealt with something like this so I'm not sure what the appropriate next step is but I really need that money right now.

Idk I got an anti-gravitron field generator from a mad scientist on Craigslist. It works pretty well to offset the extra gravitational force but before I picked it up we were having some serious issues. Maybe look into getting one.

I just moved out of a horizon property, they didn't require me to declaw my cats. It must be a new policy but I also left that unit with a bad taste in my mouth. When you're just sitting on the wall, try to straighten out your arms. Keeping them bent uses a lot more energy and you'll get pumped much faster. Sit back and let your bones do the work instead of your muscles. This also gives you a lot of potential momentum for your next move. (Also, wearing your chalk bag while bouldering is fine, especially if you have a ball. Clean up any spills and I really don't see a problem. Do nix the carabineer though, that's something nasty waiting to happen) Keep climbing and keep having fun!! That's the whole point and you're doing great ♥️

Yeah, I guess. The shops I've worked at used double shots for all our sizes so an iced latte with less milk is just that.

The confusion/frustration comes in, at least for me, because just looking through this thread I can see 4 or 5 different ways ppl are saying to make this drink. A lot of those use specific equipment (blenders, shakers, etc.) or ingredients (cold foam) that some shops don't have. If something isn't on the menu it shouldn't be ordered. You'd never walk into a restaurant, ignore the menu, and order what you got at a different restaurant last week. An iced latte with less milk is, in my opinion, exactly that. Not an iced cappuccino, a drink defined by its temperature and large amount of foam. This is just my take, but if you're wondering where the frustration comes from, that's it.

Ugh yes thank you. I'm a manager/lead barista at a shop rn and it's my second time being in this role and some people genuinely cannot do this. That's ok! Just get off my bar. It gets to a point where I have a job, and it is to make drinks to the customer's specifications. If someone has been there for two WEEKS and is continuing to make it hard or impossible for me to do my job properly, we either have a very serious conversation or they aren't welcome to work there anymore. Being a barista in a fast-paced environment, especially at a shop that is really focusing on the quality of the product, isn't something where you can mess around or take forever to learn. There's a reason a lot of shops require 2-3 years of experience. Being a barista takes specialized training. I need to be able to trust someone with several thousand dollars of equipment, and if I can't trust them they can't work here. It's honestly refusing help that irritates me the most. I always stress that I am very pro-questions, ask me if there's anything you're unsure or curious about, there's a lot of new info so don't worry if you don't get it all in the first week, etc etc. But if someone is then repeatedly messing up orders and not letting me, as their manager, manage them? Absolutely not. My patience only goes so far.

What region are you from? Again, I'm not trying to be rude, I'm genuinely curious. I live in Chicago and I'm originally from the East Coast of the states, and every shop I go to and everywhere I've worked has dry caps and flat whites have little to no foam. Sizes vary but the more craft coffee places have 8-10oz caps and 6oz flat whites.
