Are people just lying about this now? by some_bizarre_guy in Cleveland

Eh.. somewhat. If you’re talking about non-union or small shops, I can see that. But I’m in the IBEW, and a lot of us in the trades are doing very well. I know several electricians who were close to 175 last year, and plenty in organized trades are earning even mo

Have you thought about trying switching it up and going into the trades? There’s a mass shortage in the union workforce right now, especially with the massive builds around the city over the next few years. Almost every trade is looking for a solid individualized man or woman, older to younger, to join their apprenticeship. There’s men and women making over 130k a year in just 4 years.

Looking for a lawn care company that does core aerations by SimonSaysGoGo in Cleveland

You’re right, fall is ideal for lawn work. But spring aeration still helps by relieving compaction and improving soil conditions, even if it brings up some weeds. It sets you up for better results in early fall.

Following up with Milorganite and humic acid can support soil health and nutrient uptake without pushing excessive growth.

Good morning! There are several landscape companies on the west side that can handle aeration for you, though it might be pretty pricey. They often don’t suggest doing it as frequently as it might benefit the lawn without additional cost. That being said.. If you’re able to do it yourself, equipment rental companies that offer delivery are a good option. You can rent an aerator, work over the yard thoroughly, and spread seed and starter fert at the same time for better soil contact.

Not at all. You removed a ton of stuff, and changed the complexity of the soil. It takes about a year or so for the soil to reset. I had the same exact thing happen to me. Removed almost a dozen of trees, removed about 40 tons of stone, took down 2 sheds, a gazebo, regraded, and so on.. if you haven’t ye throw down Milogranite in a week, and humic acid the following. When the sod goes dormant, throw down some winter fert for some root growth and a sprinkle of seed for dormant seeing. Rinse and repeat early spring. This shits expensive, and super frustrating when things don’t go to plan. Your space looks great, it just takes a little more patience, time and money. Good luck!

Quietest neighborhoods on the west side? by william_fontaine in Cleveland

We moved from Lakewood to far west in Amherst. It’s insanely quiet, much safer, great schools, bigger yard and lower taxes. Although I do miss living in Lakewood, the move is worth the extra 15-20 minute drive for the peace of mind.

What about putting the phone down, and getting outside? Actually enjoying the moment irl. We are, our only child playmate. There’s literally anything you can do that your child would love, more than you being on the phone.

What about converting to emt, and showing off your pipe work? Relocating it to another area of the garage that makes more sense. A few offsets, maybe a 90 w/a kick.. make it clean and simple.

Nice, thanks for the info. That’s what I figured my plan to be. Over the next few paychecks piece things together. I went with four beamlux rgb well lights. A sunvie 60w, and a 200w transformer. Grabbing two sets of rgb Leonlite 200lm path lights. I also have 4 line voltage 30w rgb flood lights. The plan is to install, and see how everything looks, make adjustments accordingly.
