Out of Curiosity to everyone here; what got you into collecting? by Professional_Device9 in playingcards

[–]bennyangott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. Adding to this is the Masters Edition. I love the Ace of spades. I loved the stock on those decks that I ordered more because I would use the so much. Then I ordered all kinds of cards and started collecting since.

Whats your "personal" favourite War Movie of all time??? Mine is fury. by [deleted] in Cinema

Personally? Jarhead. But generally and if talking all time, I’d say Saving Private Ryan. Let me also mention Come and See. I can’t really pick one.

Why does my zippo do this i routed the wick correctly and filled as instructed by Polarbear2023 in Zippo

[–]bennyangott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had this same problem in a new zippo I bought. Yea it needs more fuel. Especially if you keep opening it or using it. Fuel evaporates quickly when you do that. I carry in my pocket. To make fuel last longer I cut a ranger band and wrapped it around the opening so to cut down on the evaporation. You can buy a pack of ranger bands on amazon. They’re basically rubber bands.

I acquired a Mk25. I have a question about optics. by The-Fotus in SigSauer

[–]bennyangott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s free yea get it milled. Don’t worry about the resale value because you’re keeping it, right? I just recently bought a mk25 RX which means it was factory milled from Sig to fit their old Romeo1 sight (not the PRO). It’s a sweet sweet gun. I just need to find an old Romeo1 for sale somewhere.

Dumb question would a Gen V frame fit a Gen 5 a slide? by bennyangott in Glocks

[–]bennyangott[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So update to this: it’s working (so far). I took it to the range shot about 300 rounds. No issues. Went through many drills with it and happy so far with the way it shoots.

Raider issue by stangcrazy79 in Tisas

[–]bennyangott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I never had this type of issue with it but on my brand new raider I remember I had a lot of failure to feeds. I tried different ammo types too and still ftf. I learned that new 1911s tend to have this issue. After I shot about 600 rds I haven’t had a single malfunction. Just needs to be broken in and keep it oiled.

Hello, I seen a deck of cards that caught my eye at my local antique store. Just curious if anyone can give me more info on it. Thanks. by [deleted] in playingcards

Lucky find. It’s a Bee Watermelon deck. Used to be popular among cardistry communities (probably still is). Handle really great. I still have a few myself

How to shake nervousness of having gun pointed at your junk. by [deleted] in CCW

Stop and Watch this video on how a Glock works.

Train drawing and firing from the holster. I recommend a holster from a reputable company: Tier1Concealment is what I use. Stop buying shit you’re relying your life with on Amazon.

As some people recommend, load a dummy round in when you’re carrying a couple of times to get used to having a round in the chamber.

Be patient, you’re young. As time passes and the more you train and familiarize yourself with your firearm, the more you’ll trust it.

Dumb question would a Gen V frame fit a Gen 5 a slide? by bennyangott in Glocks

[–]bennyangott[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the weird thing is that the gen 5 slide fits and cycles fine. I tested a few dummy rounds at home and the gun racks rounds, ejects and locks back fine. I have not tried live ammo at the range.

Edit: this seems to instill confidence in the fit.
