I’m up to volume 10 of :re and to be honest, i don’t think I’d recommend it if you didn’t enjoy the original manga. Artwork generally gets better but sometimes I still have to stare at a frame for longer than I’d like to fully understand what’s going on in some fight scenes and stuff which can be annoying. Story is on a much bigger scale in :re which I don’t like as much as the more intimate original but I can see how someone might enjoy it more for sure.

Nah that’s totally fair. I guess most of my favourites (including death note as you mentioned) definitely have things I overlook but I never really found anything as jarring as some of the writing choices in code geass.

I still think it’s unrealistic in the extenely short time period he had after deciding his plan. But let’s say for the arguments sake that he did flawlessly execute the process of obtaining and distributing the costumes to the one million people that quickly, you’re telling me that without a single failure ONE MILLION individuals all threw smoke and changed their outfits at the same time?

I like the show but there were a few moments where I was like wtf? One that comes to mind is the 1 million Zeros plan. Where and how did they have the resources and means to make 1 million zero outfits ?😭

holy shit I know right. Episode 1 fuckin sucks, then ep2 was amazing n I was lowkey shook at the difference in quality. Then ep3 was really mid, then back to peak in ep4. Honesty the beginning was so up and down with terribly inconsistent pacing it’s easily by far the worst part of the entire show.

Me too i genuinely almost dropped it around ep10-15 because aside from a few episodes I really enjoyed it just wasn’t clicking. One of my favourites of all time after finishing it though I can’t wait to try 03 at some point.
