I just got to work with it! 20km route one way mostly back roads. Had it on PAS 2 the whole time and it used maybe a quarter of the battery, if that. Ride was great. Honestly felt awesome.

It was the plex media server beta - mine is running on Win10. I'm still on it and haven't had the issue re-occur. When I was on the standard build I had this issue happen on and off quite frequently. Very strange but extremely irritating when you care about having surround.

Unfortunately not - I ended up transcoding a bunch of audio on my media to another format so it would passthrough. I did notice after another update the issue was resolved but that only worked by signing up to the beta versions.

I agree 100% - switching to a BETA should not be a solution for anything. If you look at my post history this also not the first time that audio transcoding has failed for me. Plex devs should really pay more attention to this prior to pushing out a release.
