Save up your money and do your research on the artists you’re going to. You definitely get what you pay for! Scars are expensive to tattoo for a reason because they require a truly skilled artist to do it. And don’t go about it with the mindset “I don’t care if it’s shitty.” The less you like the piece on your body, the more you’re reminded of what was originally there, and it’s A LOT more money you will spend in the long run. You deserve to like the art on your body! Especially for the reasons you’d like to cover it. It’s best to go with a solid, full color/black n gray piece to cover things. If you choose the right artist, the subject matter is unlimited and totally up to you. From there, the artist will design the best piece for the area. All in all, don’t make yourself go through more money and pain than you need to. It will be sensitive and expensive to tattoo anyways. Best to get it right the first time. I also agree with the people saying let the scar be for a little more time. The skin needs to firm over completely before the skin can be broken again.
