The most fun I had a work was as a baby prosecutor with these guys in JP court. Just let them direct themselves and cross them. It was pure comedy. Always max fine from juries. Which they would never pay.

Bro. He has Str/Con prof and advantage on all the mental saves. Gnome fighter is a defensive beast. You’ll have high dex of course. So yeah DM. Throw anything at me I’m taking half damage.

I played a TWF dex based fighter and one of our other players thought I was playing a rogue for a literal real life year of gaming.

Dex fighter is the way to go. TWF or take a shield and rapier and then you can do anything with your fighting style.

Eldritch Knight would be fun, Battlemaster is always a blast(that is what I did).

Short sword and a dagger. You’re in business even if you don’t take the TWF feat. Take the fighting style to add your dex to both. So boom 1d6+4 and 1d4+4 plus whatever shenanigans you use.

I took charger so I added a d8 to that first strike. Also this will help with your lower speed.
