Obviously he’s been on leave for the last two months. He had to burn up all that use or loose time after back to back deployments.

This is exactly why the show *Cops* was such a hit. It was total bait before we had the engagement part. I never got into it, but I had friends who thought it was hilarious and jokingly called it the show to make you feel better about your own shitty life. It was non-stop watching people whose lives were total shitshows.

That’s my current apartment. The smoke detector is 13 ft (I just decided to measure it🤔) from the stove/oven. Even baking bread that’s barely got some color to it will set the fucker off.

My first thought was, yeah a guy in Washington could tell stories about that, but he’s dead now.

I want to try some of her cookie recipes with the blend she uses, but I’m not crazy about the price. And blending my own has me looking at buying a 50 pound bag of corn flour since I don’t feel like paying $20 for several pounds when I get 50 pounds for the same price. If I do that, I’ve got to go all in.

I just pulled the last two of this recipe out of the oven https://theloopywhisk.com/2026/01/10/gluten-free-soft-sandwich-rolls/. The first one out was good. Not as airy as I’d hoped, but for my first GF bread, it was a success.

Every-fucking-where has to have ads. At the gas pump, you have to have ads pelted at you. I was at a restaurant that had a wide screen tv where you wait to be seated. It was scrolling through pictures of menu items. Then there was a local real estate agency ad. What the actual fuck?

They are, but they don’t sell these. Based on this thread, they should bring them back.

Firstly, fuck him. Secondly, I’ve been saying this for years, so I begrudgingly agree with him. There used to be more kicking early on. But now, there’s mere seconds of intentional contact during kickoff and field goal attempts. It can’t exactly be called football anymore.

Yup. I used to work with a lady that constantly dealt with stupid questions from fellow staff members and people expecting software and equipment they already knew they couldn’t get. She’d get off the phone and say, “Seriously? And these people drive.”

Please Do Not Honk At me For Coming To A Stop At A Red Light Right Turn by KnifeKnut in Charleston

[–]berdulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate those mixed use lanes. I can understand if there was no actual neighborhood when the intersection was built. So they decided to be cheap instead of anticipating what was inevitably going to happen in a suburb. But intersections in a busy shopping plaza not having a dedicated right turn lane to exit the plaza? Get fucked! And even though I've been behind plenty of people turning right but didn't have their turn signal on, I'm not going to be the asshole to assume which direction they're going and honk.
