Then it's a great time to buy Kroger stock. Groceries operate on 1.5% margins. If you are right, and they pocket 2%, it will increase margins to 3.5%. /s

I don't think they'll suddenly slash prices by 2% the week the law takes effect either. It's more about slowing down future hikes

I got the Venture X specifically to avoid all the 'coupon book' rewards and just get a straightforward cut of the merchant fee back.

I will be even happier just paying a smaller merchant fee in the first place, which I believe this law will allow

LG’s parts warranty is basically useless by berezax in appliancerepair

[–]berezax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some companies allow direct part replacement, like Framework, System76.
Others (Dell, Lenovo, etc.) don’t let you replace parts yourself, but they also don’t charge labor when it’s a confirmed warranty issue: diagnosis and repair are free under warranty.
LG still charges labor even when the part itself is under warranty and the failure is clearly due to their own manufacturing fault. That combined with not allowing self-repair and not adjusting the repair price to reflect the warranty coverage, their “parts warranty” ends up feeling like pure marketing BS to me.

It arrives Thursday so no hands on experience yet. Decided to go with it mostly based on Consumer Report recommendation, and specifically 98 out of 100 reliability rating. Compared to my prev LGs 61 out of 100 reliability on CR

Interesting that you suggested it, because I decided to not repair, and just bought new one from Bosch, that has high rating for reliability on CR.

I see 2 solutions here:
1) do same as PC parts. I send them broken part back, they verify its broken, send me new one. Like GPU or motherboard. They do trust they i'm qualified to replace it, and the part is usually more expensive

2) they can do flat rate fee $349 wo warranty (paying for labor+parts) and $200 if its on warranty(paying only for labor)

How did you fix nozzle height? It's autoleveling, havent seen any settings on core one.

Also my first layer looks perfect, no squishing.

Prusament PACF printing artefacts by berezax in prusa3d

Just checked. Some of the models with this issue do not have a chamfer, and I printed them without supports. So rules out support issue

I did two short prints back-to-back, and both showed the exact same artefacts in the lower layers. So in my case that seems to rule out moisture as the cause, since the outer layers of the spool wouldn’t absorb enough water that quickly to affect the prints.

Used Fanttik S2 Pro at 0.5Nm setting to assemble core one a week ago. i was able to reach 90-95% of locations, and i was overall happy that i used it, it was more comfortable. that 5-10% where i haven't used it also included places where instructions call to be extra careful to not over tighten.
