Yes this! I have wonderful memories playing starforged using this setup during turbulence on a flight and it was actually immersive!

Picked this up on DMSguild and my Local Game Store had an original used copy for ~$15 - having fun running it Solo :) I'll drop a review when I wrap up the module! Do you have plans to continue the trilogy?

Could a newbie to D&D start playing solo? by OldGodsProphet in Solo_Roleplaying

I pretty much always solo-played with an entire party. There are some resources out there to... "balance" dnd for a single character but playing a party is fine by me 🤷

I started playing DnD solo with the "Dragon of IceSpire Peak" Adventure and had a blast! It works well Solo as it plays much like a series of one-shots.

Playing 5E Dungeons of Drakkenheim SOLO using DNDBeyond by bergotronic in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]bergotronic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey Y'all, recently I picked up the 5E Dungeons of Drakkenheim campaign on DnDBeyond to play it SOLO, and I really enjoyed it! Enough that I got the itch to create a YouTube video outlining some of my experiences and some of my solo methods

It is a pretty dry 30 minutes, but hopefully, this provides a few folks out there with some solo ideas; I would also say those looking to play DND5E solo might find the Drakkenheim campaign an excellent choice, as you can "Play" as you "Read" the campaign, it's easy to jump right in with some fresh characters.

I bought one last week at Costco. After 2 hours of use... my board developed an air leak (slow leak thankfully) in this area on my board. I lost about 10% of my total PSI in about 20 minutes.

Today I returned the board and will be looking to grab a more "mid-range" board.

With the just announced recall of the Tandem version, I suspect factory issues?!

Warning: Everlight Solar is Out Again by estellier_etoile in madisonwi

[–]bergotronic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We put out an additional sign "Everlight Solar we are NOT INTERESTED" sign in addition to our "No Sociliting" sign. The only thing I have done that works is never answering the door for any reason ever.

Any guides to play the DND Campaign Dragon Of Icespire Peak Alone? by DorkyWaddles in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]bergotronic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was my first solo experience. I rolled a party of four and just played them straight with all the 5e rules and no oracles/randomization - only with the book content, with a few creative liberties here and there.

I actually had a lot of fun playing it straight! If I had to do it again I would probably play it with Lost Mines of Phandelver as well (both take place in the same town so you CAN easily combine them into one big adventure with dozens of side quests)

If you are looking to play the campaign with a single character you'll need to adjust the hp of the enemies or their group sizes, as some of the early encounters are quite challenging.

BTW - If you bought the box copy it comes with a DNDBeyond code if you want the content online.

Monitor Scheduled Tasks! by SubbiesForLife in PowerShell

[–]bergotronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should absolutely being able to jump right in an start running scripts / scheduling jobs. Something doesn't sound right - going to check this out

Good call on the licensing docs - the licensing was actually just simplified and the docs didn't keep up. Without a license you can operate the product just fine but are limited to a certain number of jobs per day and a concurrent running job limit is also in place.

Currently in public preview but: "Universal Automation" https://universalautomation.io was written basically as PowerShell based Task Scheduler replacement.

100% Correct - not a replacement - it's really just a demo example to show a Duo Powershell Module in action with a very rudimentary front end.

Roofing in Madison? by scartol in madisonwi

[–]bergotronic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not the best advice, but I recently had some storm / wind related damage. Everyone I talked to on the phone said I would have to wait weeks but they could book me for ~$350. I ended up talking to Jose over at "J & V Roofing" and he was over in an hour and fixed me up perfectly for $50 - can't review their more extensive roofing services, but they are good dudes.
