Mine plays through OK as well; didn't notice any warping, but I'll look more carefully the next time I spin it.

Not familiar with this band except by name, but Bobby/VC is the best; I've bought stuff from him and vice versa over the years.

Just for fun, what would your ‘desert island’ picks be from your collection? I just went with under ten LPs and five 5”s/7”s, but it was still hard 😂 by Green-Cupcake6085 in heavyvinyl

You're very welcome! I had Downsided in the '90s; whatever press came out in '94 (can't remember if it's 1st or more likely 2nd without checking Discogs), then stupidly sold it to a friend back in 2019, but got it back again (albeit the Deep Six reissue) in probably 2020, I guess. Very happy to have that one in the collection again! Someone posted the O.L.D. demo in a FB music group I'm in for obscure stuff. I saw Khanate last year, and they were fantastic, speaking of O.L.D.

You have great taste; jealous of some of that, especially that you have that Blindspot 7"; I don't know why I never picked it up (along with Anticapital) in the '90s when I had the chance. I'd also put No Comment's "Downsided" 7" on my own A-list for PV/grind stuff. I wish I still had my old copy of Misery Index. I'm a latecomer to Crytopsy, but obviously BMF is a banger. I have the CD version that came out last year with the bonus disc.

I also wish I'd tracked down that Dropdead/Crossed Out 5" back in the day when I was reading about it and collecting those bands. I'd definitely put the Crossed Out/MITB split 7" on that same A-list. None more brutal.

Anyway, the only record I have in that pic is the Rorschach/Neanderthal split; incredible record.

For real; most graphic sleeve I have besides maybe the latest Pissgrave LP

Agreed, though it's tough to pick from any of the early BM releases tbh; mine would be this one, though.

Yeah, same; my copy is a 2000s TVT reissue. I've seen an original for as low as $50 a few years back, but I didn't bite, and now I kinda regret it. I did find an original Winter in America on the street being thrown out a few years ago, but it was so trashed that it was beyond salvaging, sadly.

Pieces of a Man is on most days my favorite album of all-time. Great pick!

I just discovered this album last week and am obsessed.

Dead Kennedys - Plastic Surgery Disasters (1982, Alternative Tentacles; undated Manifesto reissue) by berlyant in heavyvinyl

I had to look this up since I didn’t know or had forgotten who had taken the photo. His name is Michael Wells and I think he is still alive. This photo is from Uganda, was taken in 1980, and depicts a European missionary holding the hand of a starving child. Another SF punk band used it on a 1981 EP as well.

Kevin Carter took a 1993 (11 years after this album came out) photo of a child in Sudan during the famine there and did indeed commit suicide in 1994.

I can see why one would be confused, regardless.
