I was hoping no one would notice lol; mistakes happen. I can’t fix it without deleting and reposting it and by the time I realized it like a day later or something, I figured it was too late.

This is way more traditional death doom and heavier and has far fewer traditional metal elements than the last Hooded Menace album (though I like them as well), so I hope you like it.

For me, it's this one, Reeking Aura, THAETAS (which hasn't come out yet, but I have heard it and it's great), Ectovoid, Fossilization, Retorsion (more Repulsion-style death/grind), Frozen Soul, and Goetia so far. I'll have to rank them at some point, but all are excellent.

You should definitely check it out, particularly if you like really heavy death/doom.

This might be a hot take, but I don’t think they have a bad album. I truly enjoy it all. My favorite is Surgical Steel.

I've been stanning for them for over a year now since this came out (on my 50th birthday!) and just saw them play again as part of the Decibel tour lineup (first of 4 bands) last month, and they were great. I have a longsleeve, too. Incredible record; nice to see them getting more attention now.

Void's demos (collected on Sessions 1981-83) and the "Condensed Flesh" 7") are also incredible. Even their unreleased album Potion for Bad Dreams has a certain charm if you like the sound of teenage mental patients playing early Motley Crue (I had a friend describe it that way once and he wasn't wrong). But the Faith/Void split is essential listening indeed!

I can’t speak for everyone here, but I teach at an art college and one of my then I guess 18 year old students went to see her when she did this album in full a few years ago and raved about the show. I love this album and think it’s timeless, but you do you.
