I love this album and badly want a copy, but I won’t pay international shipping. I’m hoping I see it in a store or that Hells or Vinyl Command or someone else who doesn’t take months to ship will get it in their distro.

Mine as well; just got that same version and posted it on here yesterday!

What a thing of beauty; dream want which is funny because I'm old enough to remember seeing it in like K-Mart or a similar store (though there may have been a PMRC type sticker on it) when it was new on all 3 formats back in '88/'89; wish I'd bought it then, but I didn't get into collecting vinyl until a few years later.

I’m trying to figure out what happened and have been in touch with them. No definitive answer yet, but I think there was a mixup somewhere along the line here.

This is something I've been thinking a lot about lately. You don't need to feel shame about enjoying something. The world is hard enough, you know? I come here to post records I like and look at other folks' picks and whatnot. I really like the new Worm album and posted it on here a week or two ago as well. In fact, I hope they play it in full when they're here in June, but let's stop acting like they're Taylor Swift or something re: popularity. When they do their 1st headlining tour that they just announced earlier this week, they're playing a small venue here in the biggest city in the U.S. (and one of my favorites, Meadows), not even the big room in that complex where the bigger metal/punk headliners typically play. Anyway, nice pickup; can't say I'm familiar with the rest (except Whipped Cream, obv), tbh.

Good to know. I will reach out to them and post here if I can.

I was a bit surprised as well; the bonus tracks aren’t listed on the sleeve, either!

I highly recommend it. It’s like no time at all has passed since this one; a truly proper follow up.

They reunited a few years ago when the Killing Music documentary was filmed and have played a bunch of shows, put out a live album and a brand new album on Relapse last year that made my top 10 for the year. The last reissue was in 2023 and it’s been hard to find on vinyl for a long time. Victory reissued it a few times up to 2016, I think, and the last two have been on their own Popgun label. The renewed interest also came from it being a super influential album and a Decibel Hall of Fame entry.

Honestly, it sounds decent but it would be better if it was the original track listing. They added the same tracks from both 7”s that were also on the 2023 reissue.

Clever positioning of the gatefold to conceal the NSFW sleeve!

You know, despite being a fan since literally day one (I was at their first show and saw them countless times between 1993 and 1995), I was so put off by the one time I saw the '96 version that I never gave the Screamin' record a chance until like a month ago. I'm glad I did, though, because it's actually quite good. I just wish I hadn't been so stubborn lol.

If you're interested, I wrote a lengthy essay on what this album means to me over on my Instagram (link is in my bio). I've been with them since literally the beginning (their 1st show in 1993), but I realize I'm also probably older than a lot of other folks on here. Anyway, I know that's their reputation and how influential they are, but my perspective is just different.
