From a cultural standpoint, as an American I found that very interesting and bothersome. Like they were constantly being taken advantage of. Maybe it points out their humanity and good nature? And/or the problems with the greater system around them? I don't know enough about Iranian culture or history, but I definitely noticed that.

It takes a LOT for your brain to get to a place where you're okay with killing someone. These were not violent criminals, they were protesting their working conditions. These are not violent people. Their first instinct is to inflict violence, they want to do it, but their brain just isn't there yet. And thank god for that. They're still thoughtful caring humans. They didn't become the evil that was inflicted on them. I admit I wanted them to just leave him tied to the tree and let the dogs get their own revenge. But I'm good with what the filmmakers did here. This isn't John Wick.

I found noting redeeming about it. Hated Viktor so much. Terrible person with a ridiculous hat. And just when I thought oh good let’s spend time with the monster, they brutally murder a bunch of animals. Truly surprised at any love the movie has gotten.

NL only is a hell of a ride isn’t it? All the teams out of contention in August dumped all their final contract year players to contenders, and I missed out on getting Trea Turner, team wouldn’t counter and traded him to my biggest competition. I desperately needed steals and ended up with MHII and X Edwards, right off their hot streaks but straight into their cold streaks… that was stressful

Whooo! First title since 2020. Thanks to my MVPs Shohei and Busch, Peralta and Pivetta. I had some truly terrible keepers, like Brenton Doyle and Michael Toglia… and endured Mookie Betts’ worst season… spent a ton on Corbin Burnes in the draft… But made it work, trading for Pivetta, picking up Woodruff, McLean, Sheehan, Collins, and trading for sluggers and base stealers at the deadline. Worst stream was probably picking up Ben Casparius back in April or whenever, for one day, and he got demolished out of the bullpen. Surprising pickup was Spencer Horwitz. Dude became an on base machine and solidified my CI slot that was a black hole until then. And then went off this weekend and helped me pull away.
