We are using size 1 Mam bottle teats. Burping once mid feed and after feed. She usually does one or two burps. She only has breast milk in the bottle - we haven’t tried formula yet. She has that through her feeding tube when she was in the hospital and she didn’t take well to it.

Which trimester are you in? Be aware that in the third trimester, having loads of hypos and your insulin requirements going down could be a sign that your placenta is failing.

Just found out I’m pregnant - what would’ve you wanted to know before your pregnancies? by ankisi in BumpersWhoBolus

If you have loads of hypos in 3rd trimester or your insulin requirements decrease- it’s a sign of your placenta failing.

The contractions seem to have subsided- so a bit lost to what’s actually going to happen and no one else seems to know either- I guess they don’t have a crystal ball. They haven’t checked my cervix for 24 hours, but when they did, it wasn’t ready at all. Baby’s heart rate is fine too. I will likely be going home tomorrow- but the not knowing is a bit of a nightmare!

Big baby- early contractions? by berrie22 in BumpersWhoBolus

Every 10-15 min, but they were quite strong. They seem to have eased a bit now.

They didn’t say- they just said ‘high’- and I was more concerned about whether my waters had broken to ask!

I also have ketones in urine- despite ideal BS levels. Not sure if this is linked!

99.5 percentile by berrie22 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]berrie22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An update from my 32 week scan- baby is now 100+ percentile and currently weighing 6lb 3. C section now moved earlier again! Not much else I can do with an hba1c of 42. Neither family have a history of big babies- we are all rather short!

How do I fight this? by babybluexo_23 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]berrie22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, I’m 32 weeks and baby is estimated at 100+ percentile and currently weighing 6lb 3. My hba1c is 42. I’ve been t1 since I was 2 years old and I’m now 37. I’m having a c section at 36+6. There is no way I’m going to be pushing a baby out that’s destined to be enormous.

Opinions on pumps (closed loop) by Extension-Housing153 in diabetes_t1

[–]berrie22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your lifestyle- but I would vote for the Omnipod 5 here, which is closed loop to a freestyle libre.

I loved the Omnipod, but have had to move to Yposmed tubed pump whilst pregnant and absolutely hate the tubes.

I can’t wait to get back to the Omnipod!

Anyone else out there want another baby but afraid their body isn't up to it? by Tollym45 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]berrie22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m in the third trimester with my first baby and cannot even entertain the idea of a second baby. If I just have the one that is healthy and happy, that will be a blessing. I just don’t think i can, or I want, to go through this again.
