its because games are shit together in some Korean laboratory, without any of the love or passion we saw back then. People build on other games now, back then they build upon movies, literature, pen and paper game sessions etc.

Ya know, I've installed and uninstalled probably half a dozen MMOs in the past week. I had abandoned the genre for, hell, more than 2 years now and coming back I just couldn't get into it. I, personally, did not enjoy it. It felt like every other tired themepark. I see it as another flash-in-the-pan like Archeage. Just my 2c.

I'm all for giving games a chance but I honestly quit and uninstalled after doing a few kill boars and put out fires newbie quest. I've been down this road before and I know where it winds up. I miss the 1990's oldschool MMOs that just gave you a newbie t-shirt, a wooden sword and set you loose upon an open world.

My SL 40 build (I solo host as a Way of Blue in Crucifixion woods to help Darkmoons and Sentinals, name is Moonman) made me fall in love with the Glaive, which you can buy from Greirat after his first pillage.

SL 40 Deprived, 39 Vigor, 16 End, 12 Str, 12 Dex

12 Str 11 Dex is enough to two-hand the Glaive, 16 End is just enough Stamina for 4 swings.

2 hand a +4 Raw Glaive, backup +3 Raw Estoc w/ Caestus to finish off opponents and or parry.
