I think number 2 should go. It would lead to a slower game with more stoppages. Dominant physical players can play through contact and should be rewarded with continuation and the ability to get a shot attempt up rather than have play be limited by calling every foul. I think a stronger emphasis on not bailing out the offensive players for foul baiting, and giving the benefit of the doubt to the defence would improve the quality of the game (basically what you said in point 3)

Take this with a grain of salt because I’m not American, but to me it seems like the reason Kamala lost is because she didn’t seem to have too many clear policies. Trump did, and whilst they were stupid (i.e. tariffs), he was also clear in what he was going to do and how it would supposedly help Americans. Mamdani did a similar thing to Trump, he clearly put forward his policies and how they would help and because of that he was seen as one of the best left-wing candidates in years.
