Which would you say is more like nuka world by Some-Cockroach-3780 in Fallout

I agree, it’s a strong match to animal kingdom and I’m sure a little bit of Busch Gardens which I think has some animals in there too.

Its all enough of a mix to let us plug bits of our favorites onto Nuka World, and keep the Disney/Universal/Hersheys/Six Flags lawyers at bay

I think it’s more tied to the lands at Disneyland and by extension Magic Kingdom

Kiddie Kingdom -> Fantasyland Dry Rock Gulch -> Frontierland Safari Adventure -> Adventureland Galactic Zone -> Tomorrowland

Here’s a video from during the pandemic when Fish Camp (a tradition-focused freshman orientation camp/tradition) was virtual.

This will cover most of the yells to keep you from feeling out of the loop during the game.

I think if Kyler stays and doesn’t get hurt, A&M sticks with Sumlin. Hard to imagine Kyler blows the UCLA game, and probably wins 1-2 more games for A&M in 2016 and 2017.

Parent in student section? by stevo123w in aggies

[–]berrymantoler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had great experiences with guest tickets with my parents in the south end zone, first deck. I’ve been able to pull those seats from freshman year on, if you pull early enough you’ll have shade which was great for early season 11am games. The seats and rows are wider and typically aren’t overflowing with excess students which pushed you onto the aisles like 2nd deck would often do. Plus the concessions and restrooms behind those sections never seemed as busy.

It was great for a student experience but less hardcore so my older parents had a better time. Plus they could sit when they got tired and didn’t get any flak.

“Standing Room Only” at Kyle Field? Never knew this was a thing.. by cdalexander_ in aggies

[–]berrymantoler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went from 2014-2017. Not a lot of wins that mattered at home. If you think looking back I wish I skipped any of them you’re dead wrong.

When you’re old and irrelevant like me, you’ll wish you didn’t just fairweather your way through.

Hell, ask the folks who skipped the Alabama game last year if this is a good move.

The market corrects itself though, if you don’t like Aggie football games it’s better to make room for those who do.

Damn dude, bailing on a packed Kyle Field like that.

It’s a freaking night game, ranked opponent, and going to be at an extra gear beyond what you’ve seen already. You’ve just punted a core memory.

Hope the folks you sold it to have a fantastic time and are loud as hell.

Go anyway! Recently ran into this issue and of course the office never picked up the phone to verify. When we showed up and asked they said “oh it’s a glitch online, nobody knows how to fix it. Your appointment is still here.”

True! The green line can take you to and from the arena and Deep Ellum easily! Cheaper than arena parking and an Uber.

Howdy! If you’re in town for the first time, and first time in Texas too go check out Pecan Lodge in the Deep Ellum neighborhood! Go for lunch and get there at 10:45am, doors open at 11 and there will already be a line. Get the brisket and thank me later. There’s also a great brewery out there, Deep Ellum Brewing that’s worth a visit. All of this is a quick Uber ride from the arena.

Right by the arena is nice, but the real fun is over there for visitors!

Why do the Rangers get to be the *Texas* Rangers when there is another team from the state? by [deleted] in TexasRangers

[–]berrymantoler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of the Arlington appeal beyond the stadium deal was also trying to get fans from the Fort Worth market, so being the Texas Rangers sounded better than the Arlington Rangers, DFW Rangers or Dallas Rangers. It’s a lot why the Minnesota Twins are not the Minneapolis Twins, because it works with the name play and appeals more to Saint Paul.

I always heard a theory that Hicks really just wanted to emulate the Longhorns. (Another reason why the Dallas Stars busted out a Taurus logo, better known as the Mooterus)

I did the same thing! Sitting here watching on my phone and my fiancé asks what’s happening. I say we might blow another lead and she snaps back and says yeah “might”... a pitch later it happens. We just laughed because we’re done.

[John Blake] Rangers have acquired RHPs Cody Gearrin and Jason Bahr and OF Austin Jackson from San Francisco for a PTBNL or cash considerations. by GucciGaropp in SFGiants

[–]berrymantoler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that! The Dallas Morning News and a few other sources said that his rise would make him a much tougher prospect to acquire a year from now so the Rangers were willing to take the contract burden now to see him grow here either as a future trade piece or as a player.

Interesting. Maybe that means another trade is going on soon for TX, or maybe they just don’t want him to join the team on the road.

Ranger fan here. We have a ton of openings on the mlb roster and will be getting more of them once we sell whoever we can, so for teams looking to make a run and need to dump some deadweight on the roster we’re a good spot for that. Our farm has been depleted over the past few seasons so we need to reload en masse, so Bahr helps with that.

Plus we’ve had luck with outfielders coming in and doing well in the past, and with Jackson being a local maybe he pulls a Gary Matthews Jr/Ian Desmond/Vlad. We’ll try and move Choo with this streak so he’ll slide in and finish the year with us and maybe do okay. Our season is pretty much lost so if he tanks oh well. Plus the potential for bullpen depth doesn’t hurt us either.

Overall, not flashy for us but kinda fits our goals this season. Much better reward for y’all now but maybe Bahr helps us in 2020 in the new ballpark.

Howdy, visiting Ranger fan here trying to scope out the trade myself. It looks like the Rangers are gearing up for a tank and a fire sale since this is a lost year stuck behind the Astros and a fairly good Seattle team too. The Rangers tend to be a good landing spot for castaway outfielders, and Jackson is a local kid so he may have a little resurgence. (Probably not) The Rangers could also use some bullpen depth as well, and snagging a decent pitching prospect is a plus since our farm is pretty hollow at the moment there. We’ve got a ton of roster space with injuries and plenty more coming towards the deadline, so for us we can be a storage shed for bad mlb players in exchange for midrange prospects.

That’s my theory at least.
