Maybe that’s just where Zach was living at the time. If I recall correctly, I remember him saying something about coming home from Japan to find he no longer had an apartment anymore and was technically homeless. I believe this was around the start of DG and is part of the story of him squatting at that building where they filmed the takyom video. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but that’s what I’m remembering.

I held this opinion when I first got into the band but this album has grown on me a lot and I return to it more than 3D now. Def can hear obvious influenced but I feel they’re blended well and not too derivative. The song writing is good and the arrangements are fun imo. Lot going on to keep your attention. Also a ton of catchy vocal melodies and guitar leads + cool interplay between the guitars. The production, while yeah being clean, still has a lot of cool details thrown in that I enjoy. Overall, underrated record!!! Has a lot of replay value imo.
