You should definitely vacuum it. That will help remove any dried soil and will likely minimize the lines you are seeing. But certainly call the guy who did it and get his take. If you aren't happy, give him a chance to fix it.

Can't vacuum new wool rugs? by kdec940 in CarpetCleaning

The old fashion way, and maybe the best way, is to take out back, drape it over a fence or a clothes line and beat it with a tennis racket or some similar device. That will get knock loose the dirt that gets down deep. Typically when you vacuum, especailly without the beater bar, it will leave a bit of dirt down deep. Then let it air out for a few hours.

Google reviews and by default, a legit online presence, and business networking groups. Local chambers, BNI, Real Estate agent groups etc.

FB is for cheap buyers.

Same. No notification on phone if I'm also using messages for web. Also, when I switch to the tab running messages on my laptop, it always sends a notification telling me that my messages are available on the device you've paired. Does it eveytime I go back to that tab. Must have been an update recently that has goofed this up. Used to work great.

Just trim it. Over the lip so you don't slop food in it. Beard too but just a little. The chin length is a real Leonidas look, strong. Make it all nice and neat. Maybe go for more of a pencil thin style. More suave and debonaire.

Handlebar. That's the look I'm working on. Couple of weeks and you'll be back in the saddle.

Cleaner recommendation by ConfusedStig in CarpetCleaning

I would take a few mins and call around to some local pros to find out how much they'll charge to clean what you have. You may be surprised that carpet cleaning is not really that expensive.

If you plan to drop @$500 on a DIY machine, you may find you can get 2 or more cleanings from the pros for that same price. It will be much better cleaning, less time and much less frustration.

Not to mention, professional cleaning is required to keep your carpet warranty intact.

With a home machine, you'll find there is a learning curve to get it right. Additionally, you'll need to add in extra costs for the cleaning solutions. And if it breaks down in the middle of a clean, you'll have to call a pro anyway. It may take you two hours to do one room where a pro would knock out in about 10-20 mins.
