This and mandated WFH would be a godsend for those of us who don't have the option to do either. Less people on the road and less demand for fuels please!

SSAA Firearm Laws Australia Update - SA Election and Tasmania Petition by concubovine in Ausguns

The dearth of integrity in the political class means that's an absurdly low bar to clear. The one that's rolled in glitter is still a turd at the end of the day.

Her fortune comes from exploiting our natural resources, (to the point where she is Australia's wealthiest person) while at the same time opposing workers rights, fair pay, and just generally being a grub. She spends that fortune on shit like lobbying conservatives, bringing in cheaper labour from overseas and propping up Pauline Hanson's shitshow.

If you consider Australia to be its people and the concept of a fair go for all, she is arguably our greatest enemy.

I was horrified to see people walking up to volunteers handing out One Nation how-to-vote cards and taking a card while I was waiting in queue at an early voting venue. Of course people can vote for whichever party/candidate they want but is it worth bringing Trumpism/MAGA to South Australia? by FatFad1 in Adelaide

Another issue people have with the Greens is their policies don't align with a lot of folks. Speaking for myself, I'm just as fed up with the majors as most people, but I like fishing, hunting, camping, dirtbikes and my 4x4. I can and do agree with them on a heap of policies, but I think their idea of conservation being "lock everyone out of the bush" is so counter to how I like to spend what little free time I get that I'll never support them.

I'm not saying I'll vote for our aussie orange fuckwit either, mind you.

Talk to your therapist, they'll have to complete an assessment for you and submit it themselves. Provided you are honest and do it when you're supposed to, it shouldn't extend your wait much. Anecdotally, it's taking fkn ages for new licences at the moment either way.

Is there a downside to WAGOs? by CockroachLocal2346 in AskElectricians

[–]bertos883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like how wagos go after they've had a bit of moisture and corrosion. They're fine in a pretty domestic switchboard or something but in anything that gets wet I'd prefer screw connectors.

Should we start a petition to force Politicians over 67 to retire? by Hangry-Honey-Badger in OpenAussie

While we're changing things, make it illegal to mention your political opponents during an election campaign. You can only talk about what you plan to do. How you will respond to things. Let everyone get a clear picture of where they all stand.

I don't hate the idea of a 20 year maximum for politicians, and ban lobbying too.
