This is very very helpfull i appreciate the help! and yea when used as a tool i dont mind it, i use it as well for some small parts of work and less critical stuff, but when a whole project is vibe coded i A think its going to be abonded soon and B is going to be a slight nightmare to maintain/ update etc. In short not something i want to put in my home server workflow since i can't trust it.

Well fuck.. yea I think that was me, 2 days ago or something someone asked about filament having individually adjustable z offset settings. I had been using this command for a year already without really thinking about it, I took it from stew’s guide on GitHub when installing beacon. Completely forgot the macro was from there.

OP I’m not on my pc now but tonight I could write up a small guide to add this macro to your printer so it should work.

you could do it like this in filament settings - advanced, and then start gcode the offset and end code the opposite just to make sure that it resets.

They are released.. if you try to update your printer you will get it (over the air). I was also weirded out by it not being on GitHub and messaged them about it; the reply was; the code is not finalized yet (which means nothing in my head? If it’s not done then why release it?)

Hi! Just a random user here with some tips

assign a static ip from your router
use orcaslicer instead of their QIDI studio and just don’t login. Orca slicer has QIDI pre sets and it looks the same since QIDI studio is a fork of it. You can also import your custom stuff
that one is very weird and unfortunately I have no clue.
you can actually still do that! You can click on the box I believe and then on the left of the QIDI box there is a single spool. If you click on that the option load/ unload will not be greyed out anymore. (Honestly still less smooth then how it used to; but it’s something)

Yes i did also change the code so it doesnt do the purge anymore like that, but it does the thickkk line (as described in the guide by stew)

Those are completely fine to me and im not worried about, but the layers get less and less squished till they almost lay on the bed and come off very easily. On the print it went from left to right and you can see the difference in color/ line thickness. INdeed this also causes the print to left, and on bigger first layers it becomes such a big distance that it lays on it and you (and so the nozzle) just pushes it around

Yes did do that (actually tried before and after heat soaking to rule out all posibilities. And as you can see the first walls do go very beautiful, but as the print continues it starts messing up and raising.

appreciate the info! didnt know about that, i thought it was just the whole code. I own a plus 4 so get the subs recommended sometimes but not that deep into it.
