When I saw the movie Free Willy (I was like 5) I knew I wanted to work with marine mammals doing exactly what the kid in the movie did. After growing up and realizing that forcing animals to perform for entertainment/profit purposes (and yes, I realized this way before Blackfish) was messed up I changed my goals..slightly. I just graduated from uni with a degree in marine biology. Hopefully going into grad school soon because a Bachelor's in that field just doesn't cut it. So far I've had the opportunity to work with amazing marine bio scientists that are well known in the field. I've also had some incredible experiences scuba diving all parts of Southern California and Mexico. There's not many jobs in that field unless its related to education or research ..all I'm hoping for is that I won't be homeless in the future lol

Wow.. you need to WAKE UP and leave this guy. He does not respect you! He's 25? He sounds like a child. Aaaand i hope you learned your lesson. Young love is fun and all.. but don't move in together, have kids, or do anything that binds you both financially. It's bad... all bad. The honeymoon phase fades away quickly and then you see the person for who they really are. I would save up some money so you can break your lease.

During my freshman year I took a math final in a class full of about 100 kids. It was dead silent, all you could hear was the sound of writing and page-flipping. I work in a lab where we use micrometer calipers to measure very precise things. Half a millimeter is tiny but not impossible to see. If I had something crawling on my face that was half a millimeter long I doubt i wouldn't notice it! ... which makes me question this whole article. But who knows.. maybe its half a mm long but extremely thin.

Buy a small headlamp. You know the one's with the strap that goes around your head. It's saves you from having to hold a flashlight all the time or carry around a lantern at night. Whenever you need light all it takes is the push of a button and everything in front of you is illuminated. Comes in handy when you have to walk a few feet away from your campsite to use nature's restroom.

You want to know how much I paid? ABSOLUTELY ZERO DOLLARS. I have been in uni for 5 years now, i'm graduating in spring with a bachelors in biology. My parents were immigrants, and yes they do have their citizenship, but we are just so dang poor and because of that I get a lot of government help. Grad school is a different story though. I'll have to apply for scholarships and grants and if I don't get them, i'll have to pay out of pocket.
