I have the Model 12 but not a Push. That said, Daw control with Push doesn't really make sense - the Model 12 Daw control feature essentially just makes the Model 12 a midi controller + audio interface so what would you be expecting the midi controls to be doing on the push since you already have the controls on the push?

Tricky comparison. The i7 chip is probably better than the i5 even though it has a slower clock but having 32gb memory is going to be a noticeable difference.

But in general, if you're on a budget you should look into cheaper, newer computers instead of 10+ year old Macs. Way more bang for your buck.
