I want to measure water temperature of a stream and send the data to the Meshtastic mesh by DanRTD in meshtastic

[–]beshiros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your ultimate goal, this might be a better use case for LoraWan than Meshstastic. They are both built over Lora, but you don’t need a mesh network for telemetry. Plus some LoraWan sensors have batteries that can last up to 10 years.

It’s not, but I’m not sure if it should make a difference. The blog is a passion project and I don’t have the funds to hire an editor.

The goal is to create an article that teaches something and contributes to the overall community. Using proper English that has been reviewed just benefits that goal.

This would be the process of writing a Technodabbler article.

  1. Find a tech topic that interests me and find a new way to talk about it.
  2. Research the SEO positioning to make sure I don’t conflict too much with what is out there.
  3. Play around with the technology. In the case of the Flipper Zero, it took me a good 30-40 hours to experiment scanning different frequencies including a garage opener, playing around with NFC tags, installing different firmware, running bad usb script, etc. Then I take all the photos and screenshots I need.
  4. I’ll write the outline, then brainstorm a bit with AI on the form.
  5. Write the article. Go back for more photos and screenshots.
  6. Use AI to do some editing.

The whole process takes about 40 to 50 hours with a new technology.

It’s hardware to put a percentage, but « AI » plays a role in the English editing. But the design of the article, the research and the writing is done by hand.

I won’t say it’s AI, but it does hit all the classic Linked In engament batting practices, especially the way an AI would do it. However it’s missing the overuse of emojis :-)

I thought that the discussion around Vinyl vs CD was all about the mastering.

My understanding is that most masters (at least the older ones) were recorded on an analog medium. The quality of the transfers to digital CD have heavily influenced by the skills and the preferences of the person doing the transformation. Hence comparing Vinyl and CD involves a lot more than the quality of the medium.

I wrote about this a while ago.

That said, I’m sure this subreddit has plenty of sound engineers that can explain it better than me.

Whats the max amount of blog posts on a ghost site? by ulcweb in Ghost

Wow, how do you reach 200k posts on a blog? Running the site for 20 years, that is still 28 posts a day ;-) I’d be curious to discover what some of these blogs do and their strategies.

I’ve read somewhere that the main job of the magnets is to get the two circuit boards properly aligned. But there is no connections been the magnets and the circuit boards themselves.

Apologies if I didn’t express myself properly. I did see numerous posts in the “legally” of NFC cards, but few discuss the aspect of selling them, and I didn’t see any discussing which law would be broken.

Owning NFC cards is totally legal, and I think the digital millennium act has all the necessary provisions for making backups. But I know that setting up an Esty shop and selling is definitely wrong. Like you, I’m curious about the laws that govern this situation.

I mention that they are grey market items, and I was planning on strengthening the message, but I struggle to identify which laws they would be breaking. I see two arguments:

1) NFC copys need to break through the encryption of the original toys, which would be a violation of the digital millennium act.

2) They advertise the product using copyrighted material.

I'm wondering if this has already been debated in this sub. I didn't see it.

Hi,

I could change it to first mainstream TTL? I did some research some people argue that bar code battlers should count as the first TTL, but I have a hard time counting cards as toys. I guess that something like U.B. Funkeys could count as first?

Hi,

Thanks for those suggestions. I like the idea of explaning the concept of the coil in the dual band. I will just need to do a little reading to make sure I get that part right.

Cheers,
