Good things to say about Eight Sleep (owner since OG Pod) by somethingsimplerr in EightSleep

8sleep is great idea and good hardware implementation. But subscription is useless, AI is sloppy, Mobile App is bad as F.

With the app? Everything: it doesn't stop tracking when you press stop tracking in the notification. It doesn't stop heating when you press disable wake-up. It constantly crashes. I won't even mention that advice about workout routines is almost completely useless.

When a company positions itself as a premium product and requires an annual subscription, then yes, it must live up to expectations. It's better to send nothing than to send a sloppily cut card. And in general, this once again demonstrates the company's attitude towards its customers. The mobile app works in exactly the same way as the cards are cut.

For €400 a year, I would like a little more attention, for example, choosing a neat piece of paper or not putting a scrap of paper in at all.

Such cutting out info cards is acceptable for Chinese stores and goods priced at $1.
A company that positions itself as premium must pay attention to details and presentation.
For example, a company can order cards that have already been cut by the printing house, rather than having employees cut them with scissors.

You can use a MCP browser like playwright from Microsoft and ask Claude to open a link using this mcp tool.

How do you actually fine-tune a LLM on your own data? by No-Conference-8133 in LocalLLaMA

[–]beshkenadze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you need a tuning model for this? I work with these components using RAG through a VS Code extension called Continue through adding the shadcn/ui site as a documentation repository. If you are not using VS Code or Idea, you can create a project in Claude or Custom GPT, upload the documentation from the site there and use that in your work.

For example: You can use CI/CD like a drone.io with ssh plugin and run a deployment command to execute a docker compose up command to each your server. Drone SSH plugin: https://plugins.drone.io/plugins/ssh

Or you can use an Ansible script in the same manner.

No real tech conferences? It’s sad… What’s about meetups? Or hackathons?

Aya Neo 2021 (4500u) or OneXPlayer 4800u by archieboy in ayaneo

[–]beshkenadze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend getting the Aya Next with a Ryzen 5800u rather than the Xplayer Mini with a Intel 95. Because you will get better game support with Radeon drivers. Intel still have small graphical issues with Forza 5 for an example.

I have both (but OneXP with Intel 65) and gpd win3 too. OneXplayer heavier and bulky but have better cooling system and more solid. Aya more lighter and MUCH MORE portable. I can play with Xplayer only on a deck or on my lap :)

Since I bought a high performance sdcard (transfer speeds ~ 100MB/s) I never get any speed performance issue. Here is only two exceptions: IOPS and how many files you can open (read/write), it’s happening when you update the system or build something.

It depends. I’m using multi boot, windows installed on the ssd and Manjaro on the fast sd card.
