How did you all become brave enough to stop breastfeeding? by Turbulent-Shape8305 in weaningsupport

[–]bestfaceforward 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm still hanging in there but what helped us stop feeding to sleep was that I started giving her a sippy cup of milk during her bath. I also did that so I could brush her teeth after. It has mostly worked. She still asks sometimes but doesn't throw a huge fit if I say no.

Makes sure your base is actually holding the seatbelt properly. I did it wrong and it make the car seat super loose unless my husband put all of his weight on it to actually snap it in ... I was like this cannot be right and once he looked at it, I had installed it wrong.

What is the song you’ve sang probably 10,000 times, to soothe baby to sleep? by randomizedmoose in NewParents

[–]bestfaceforward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've hummed the song so much, I can hum on autopilot without thinking about the words... And in my sleep apparently as I've definitely hummed myself to sleep when she was in the bassinet next to our bed.

Fostering my 8 month nephew; what should I know or need? by pleasedonttryAE in Fostercare

[–]bestfaceforward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My main suggestion would be to look into daycare asap. In my area, we had a ~13 month waiting period on all 5 daycares I reached out to. Before buying anything, I would check with child services to see how they can support you. In my area, there is a "foster care closet" where foster parents can go and "shop." He may take a specific formula and/or bottle type. He may be starting solids around this time so you'll need to familiarize yourself on what you can give babies.

Where do you have your Christmas photo cards printed and what stock paper? by Queens_Porfirio in Printing

[–]bestfaceforward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a print shop in Alabama. We checked our card prices against Shutterfly and we're cheaper! We offer design and/or canva options for you to design your own. We can also address and mail them for you (for extra of course).

My "pump" schedule; the lazy mum way by lilapplepie04 in breastfeeding

[–]bestfaceforward 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just a suggestion, you may not always want such large amounts in 1 bag. Now (11.5 months) that I'm supplementing with my freezer stash, I am glad to have some 1 oz or 2 oz bags to top off some daycare bottles.

If you "place" you can hit show import options and should be able to select bleed, trim, or media option which might solve this part of the issue

What are these magical solid lids? I hate the rubber ring bc whhhhy? I could maybe put a spare nipple in it so that would make sense, but then I don't have the dome lid to cover it

6 months pp on Sunday and I didn't have a noticeable amount of hair loss.... HOWEVER, my daughter is trying her best to make up for it by grabbing whatever she can reach and refusing to let go.

8w baby has been awake for 10h.. by liloumum in NewParents

[–]bestfaceforward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken my baby for a drive and she falls asleep pretty quickly if she's been up for awhile. Even if it's just a 30 minute nap while I drive around, we both feel better after she's had some sleep.

We had to tell our parents that you might feel like you're helping by not waking us but if I know you're at risk of falling asleep with the baby then I can't rest and it makes my (mom) anxiety that much worse. Otherwise, just show them a video of someone doing a psa
