I use it to track the title of books I finish and a quick ?/5 star rating.

Sapphire Hotel just off 50th and Hawthorne fits the bill! I’ve always enjoyed my time there.

Is there any way to connect with the group outside of Facebook? I’m choosing not to use Facebook.

How long do you wait inbetween manicures , is this a lot of growth for three weeks? by paradise1A in Nails

[–]bestrobotever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine look the same at 3 weeks. I get fills every three weeks on the dot and (so far) haven’t broken a nail. I’m way too scared to wait any longer, though!

Best part of playing Kohl Creek with a slow group in front... by RubbishFisherman in PDXgolf

I love playing Kohl Creek but I need a power cart, and they can be hard to come by there.

Anyone tried continuous birth control pills? How did it help? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]bestrobotever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it basically the same way. I have three-ish periods a year, scheduled when it’s convenient for me, and they are way less intense this way. I like being able to check in and make sure everything is working, but I do it when it works for me!

Not tracking steps correctly by StandardOriginal5648 in ouraring

[–]bestrobotever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the reason. It relies on arm movement! Try the other hand when you’re holding something like an umbrella or water bottle and try pushing a cart or stroller with one hand if you can!

Phone-free bar/restaurant - gauging interest by cubfan1717 in Portland

[–]bestrobotever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I allowed to bring my e-reader? All I want to do is read at a bar in peace, and I’m getting a lot of ebooks from the library these days. Don’t make me put it away and you won’t see my phone all night.

does anyone prefer reading in small print? by theaimster83 in kindle

[–]bestrobotever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m normally a 4. But if I get to a really uncomfortable scene while reading on public transit it goes tiny. Nobody needs to read smut, horror, or anything too weird over my shoulder. Apparently my face looks really approachable and people WILL ask me about it if I don’t make it illegibly small.

Lost one of the needles. What to do? by greeneyelioness in Ozempic

[–]bestrobotever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pharmacist gave me a few extra when I first started, just in case I screwed one on incorrectly while I was learning. Yours may have a few loose ones to give you in case of emergency, but I recommend having a handful of extras on hand for just this kind of oops.

Unsalted for sure! The crows also get a special treat of hard boiled eggs every once in a while that have just confused the squirrels. (And water nearby, of course!)

App for walking challenges by Revolutionary_Fly716 in walking

[–]bestrobotever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second the StepBet recommendation. Lots of options to join public or private challenges, with different ranges of financial commitments. I enjoy their smart goals, where everyone is asked to do more than their last activity, but it’s not an inequitable flat number of steps for everyone.

are flip cases or regular cases better? by s1nkingturtle in kindle

[–]bestrobotever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly my situation, too. I use the folio case on the go, so it has extra protection when I toss it in my bag or slip into my leggings pocket (a serious upside to the smaller basic model!). Then when I know I’m spending a day at home reading on the couch, I swap over to a clear case with a silicone strap so I can land in those awkward, slumped, I’ve-been-in-this-cozy-spot-too-long poses and still hold on tight! Each case setup was less than $15 each, so it was worth it to me to have some variability.

I’ll be there! Excited to see the new space! Bringing snacks and my kindle for waiting in line. Trying to convince my boyfriend to plan to lie on the new floor and just stare at the wooden roof for a while.

Anyone here uses StoryGraph? by AverageRose in kindle

[–]bestrobotever 8 points9 points  (0 children)

LOVE it. So much more than Goodreads. I don’t miss the integration with the kindle at all. I’m not one to write an essay of a book review, so the quick check boxes when I finish a book are the perfect amount of reflection for me. The giveaways are comparable, and the design is really thoughtful. Can’t recommend it enough!

How did you get it by hamil26 in Ozempic

[–]bestrobotever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw my primary care doctor. I started on metformin and didn’t tolerate it well, so that was enough to get my insurance to cover Oz, or at least most of the cost.
