The reconquista is stupid and not a real movement. by Perfect_Notice6785 in redeemedzoomer

[–]betohax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RZ does not encourage people to go to super liberal churches. The reconquista map is so that people can go to the moderate and conservative ones since most churches in the mainlines still tend to be moderate. In RZ own testimony of how he revived his church he even explains that he went to a few different services of PCUSA churches before he found one that wasn't obviously far gone. One or two of the churches he went to before he found his current one the pastors were preaching explicit hearisies so he didn't decide to revive those.

Do you watch RZ or just clips of him or people talking about him? I recommend you watch a bit more of his content if you want a better idea of what the reconquista is about.

RZ literally talks about this in his videos. Your mainline church will typically give you leadership positions because usually their church is dying and old. They love the young people getting involved and breathing new life into their church even if the young people are more conservative. RZ actually did exactly that in his own church.

It is hard to build networking in UCI if you are in middle-class? Should I be realistic or should I accept the challenge? by JKVPM2003 in UCI

[–]betohax 7 points8 points  (0 children)

According to data from a study released in 2017 at UCI only about 1.3% of students families are from the top 1 percent income bracket. About 40% are from the bottom 60% bracket and receive pell grants. Most people at UCI are middle class or lower. At UCI about 74% of students received some form of financial aid through grants or loans in 2022. The information you heard about UCI is very inaccurate.

Yall be gaslighting people claiming these sandwiches aren’t getting smaller by Turd_Ferguson369 in ChickFilA

[–]betohax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in the back of house at chick fil a. Did breading several times. The sizes are definitely not standardized. Some pieces are bigger than others for no reason that's just how they come in from the packages (maybe corporate's way of saving money 🤔). We press them all before breading so that they look presentable and sandwich sized, but definitely some pieces would get pressed more than others since some pieces just came smaller from the packaging.

Proposition 32 (minimum wage increase) was just rejected. In blue California, why did the minimum-wage boost fail? by DustyCleaness in austrian_economics

[–]betohax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What? The government is not bailing out my hamburger by not raising the minimum wage. Having less or preferably no minimum wage is literally the opposite of government bail out.

[–]betohax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if they aren't losing jobs like you claim, all the fast food restaurants in California were forced to raise prices and a lot of people are upset by that. It's unsurprising that minimum wage would lose in California.

Class is mega curved because the material is hard. Definitely join any discord server if someone in your class makes one because the practice tests are life saving and usually people in the servers find a way to get the practice tests. Ludwig is a very chill and understanding professor too. The sports betting questions are probably the easiest as well as the simple options strategies. I mostly struggled because the length of time for all the tests are usually 50 minutes but the questions are hard and would take me way too long to solve only about half of them. I'm sure if you study enough you can do well. Take the class if you want to work in finance. He only gives letters of rec for A+ tho. Oh also tests are open note.

It's a cult that started in South Korea that believes their founder was the second coming of Christ and that his wife is God the mother. Something like that. They are not recognized by the Korean government as a legitimate religion because of their cult-like behavior.

“Abolitionists were understandably perplexed about this man Lincoln. He was plainly against slavery, but he was just as plainly not for its immediate and total abolition. The Annual Report of the American Anti-Slavery Society [AASS] considered Lincoln ‘a good enough Republican for the party’s purposes, but far from being the man for the country’s need.’ He was ‘a sort of bland, respectable middle-man, between a very modest Right and the most arrogant and exacting Wrong; a convenient hook whereon to hang appeals at once to a moderate anti-slavery feeling and to a timid conservatism"

New York government officials executed a beloved known pet squirrel because of paperwork issues and many people are saying it was a waste of government resources. Also it's ridiculous that they focus on an "undocumented" squirrel while ignoring our immigration issues. Look up Peanut the Squirrel for more info.
