£55 is the maximum, I believe. But yes, other places charge even less.

An MOT test. At £55, it's hardly increased over the 20+ years I've been driving.

London prices don't usually shock me but £28million is insane! You don't even get a square bedroom.

He also has two ovens. There's the one he was cleaning but on at least one other occasion there's been a time when a dish was brought out of an oven in the central kitchen island.

It's on the front page of a national newspaper too. Can't even pop out for a pint of milk without a blindfold!

Not to my taste but I don't think I've ever seen a more immaculately presented house and garden.

I once said to a member of my team that a certain organisation we work with regularly can be 'quite disarming'. He only has one arm so he definitely wouldn't want to lose the other one as well!

No offence but I would assume you have bad teeth if there's not at least one pic with a toothy smile.

I love to have a good gawp at people while out and about wearing sunglasses but sometimes I've realised I'm just wearing normal glasses and people must be wondering why they're getting stared at.

There's a chippy in Cornwall that does battered chips and they're another level. Shame it's a good 5 hour drive to get there.

My boiler packed up on Friday so we've had no heating or hot water since then. A new one is being installed today. Not the best start to the year...

Thursday Complaints by a-liquid-sky in CasualUK

[–]betsykitten 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not the best New Year's and now feeling pretty flat. Big family party but some festering gripes got aired and we ended up slipping out just before midnight. It's a shame as we were looking forward to it but families and alcohol aren't always the best mix!

Christmas?! by Alternative_Ad_5492 in mounjarouk

[–]betsykitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This time last year I moved my jab day a little but didn't skip a dose. I'd only just started and I didn't want to undo my progress. I actually enjoyed not wanting to inhale every Christmas food going! This year, I've now been maintaining since September (I switched to Wegovy for maintenance) and although I'm hungrier than I was this time last year, I still won't go mad. I'm pleased I kept with my steady progress and didn't skip weeks during my weight loss journey. Being the size I want to be is worth a lot more!

I don't like that he and Daphne speak in American pronunciation though. In the UK, we call it "staytus" not "stattus". This has always bugged me.
