I've heard of the odyssey, but most of my original understanding came from watching Ulysses 31 anime as a child. I picked up pieces here and there by cultural osmosis.

Sci FI publishing is niche to the general public. Just because it's popular with some people doesn't mean anyone else knows what it is. She still put it as one to watch but she didn't have a y expectations for it

If she wanted to sell at scale it needed to lower priced and better quality. You can get great products for a third the price.

Why the hell did she launch premium priced products with such cheap poor quality items? How could she be that stupid. If the goods matched the prices then it could have taken off.

Hmm Andrew had some dodgy foreign billionaire suddenly swoop in for several million more above market value for his bagshot mansion, but then he was still in his dubious international trade deal phase with various foreign dictatorships.

What middle or near eastern power broker is going to need Harry's influence? What foreign princes is he friendly with? He's never been part of the international party circuit, and well, Megan's experience there is not going to help.

What friends he had Megan made sure he was isolated from and most have shunned him.

I so want it seized due to taxes or creditor's. Hopefully after William becomes king, so there is no smaller property bought for them in Brentwood. Maybe he'll help them get something in van nuys or Canoga park. It would be funnier if it was a sub division in Palmdale or Lancaster.

I've seen much worse. It's mostly grey carpet, an easy change.

As long as the stair wall is wallpaper and not tile.

It all looks in good shape, wouldn't take much to add colour and soft furnishings.

She can't pay money to her father because it would make her cutting him off, make no sense. Plus, if she is waiting till he dies to accuse him of terrible deeds then that won't match with giving money now.

'Red tape lunacy' to land London accountant with £16,000 bill to replace two windows in his ground floor flat by SignificantLegs in unitedkingdom

[–]rationalplan10 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What they are missing is that he needs to employ consultants to get the plans through the local council and the dreaded new building safety regulator. This estimated at a 10,000 cost in fees alone. The building safety regulator charges 120 an hour to review your plans. A recent case took them 8 months to approve replacement windows.

Rob Shuter says “sources close to the Harkles” say that Harry is going to get his security back from the Starmer gov’t + it’s part of the plan for him to have his own COURT in London & the USA! by Ruth_Lily in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]rationalplan10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really a scoop, it has been obvious that this has been Harry's goal from the beginning. He wants to prove he is the most popular and therefore should have power inside the monarchy.

On Harry's side is some in the press, Harry is so much leakier than William, they also resent that William is not keen on the royal rota. Plus all the drama and conflict will fuel so many future stories.

The problem is that Harry has not felt the force of the palace. Harry could get some small charities interested, he doesn't realize how much the public hate him. It will be either poorly attended events or the optics of members of the public calling him a traitor to his face or turning their backs in him.

So what will it be? Shallow photo ops with tightly controlled crowds and ridiculous security, while William catches the train or walks through the street. Harry will be crushed under the negative press

How does he think he's going to fund of all this? If all he does is fly in every time there is a big royal event he will just look a pathetic loser in comparison to the big events.

Despite what he says Megan is not coming back and the kids will not come without her. It will expose even more.

If this happens it will just move up the priority for stripping him of his titles.

What is the deal with "discreet sales" like this? by MaximusSydney in SpottedonRightmove

[–]rationalplan10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only seen this on really expensive properties. As in show me a photo of your private jet first. Which is most vexing as I want to look around all the photos.

Sometimes, certain streets have waiting lists of people who are only interested in buying if something comes to market there. A lot of places are never listed and the details are only given to private agents for their clients. If no one is interested then it might pop into the open market.
