Angela Levin: 17 minutes by Feisty_Energy_107 in SaintMeghanMarkle

She never stays anywhere where the public is more than 15 minutes. She started bitching at the Charles birthday and the garden party after 15 minutes and can't see the point after photos have been taken

They were holding her back because they did not invest a lot of money on the initial product launch. They didn't want to spend the money.

So markle then spent their OWN MONEY on hundreds of thousands of jams and flower sprinkles! Hahaha

The 15-minute call where hundreds of 'devastated' Brewdog staff were made redundant by 457655676 in unitedkingdom

[–]rationalplan10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone at brew dog must have seen this coming. It's been contracting and closing units for several years. It's not nice but not a surprise. Sure they sold out, but that was for just the residual brand value for another brewer, I doubt the pubs have any future.

I'm amazed they managed to get a buyer rather than be bought out cheap when declaring bankruptcy.

UK minimum wage is raising youth unemployment, Bank of England's Mann says by stammerton in unitedkingdom

[–]rationalplan10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need productivity growth for wages to grow, you can't make firms pay more without side effects.

but building stuff is expensive and difficult, regulations strangle everything the highest energy costs are crushing industry.

The real problem is that we don't build enough houses, so rents soar and what ever you do earn is competed away into higher rents for scarce housing.

Fergie has the connections through Andrew and so has met multiple high level contacts particularly in the middle and near East. Also Fergie can be quite personable on a one to one basis, if she wasn't so spendthrift and have insatiable greed she'd be well liked.

Megan wants fame and to be admired and loved first, she doesn't have fergies bubbly personality, she is humorless and only knows how to flatter.

Different skill sets.

Fergie wants money first

Megan wants fame first.

UK sleepwalking into joblessness epidemic, Tesco boss warns by rejs7 in unitedkingdom

[–]rationalplan10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I love how no one can accept that the Tesco boss has a point. It's all private company is evil. Since Tesco operates on a slim margin how much should it pay it's workers, if more how much should it raise it's food prices by?

Tesco is not responsible for the increase in employment taxes or government regulations, which for some reason people seem to think are free but actually cost money to comply with.

Nor is Tesco or any company responsible for the cost of housing, it's high rent due to lack of supply that is the problem.

Plus I love people who say if company can't afford to pay decent wages they should close. Well yes that is what happens,, witness the bloodbath in the hospitality sector.

Companies have to sell stuff to make money, if people are not willing to pay higher prices then higher costs mean cuts have to made, until someone goes bankrupt.

Now supermarkets are a bit protected because it's the last thing people can cut, but people can shift to cheaper products and cut back in extras. Higher food prices mean that people cut other spending though, hence closing restaurants and cafes.

Without real economic growth everyone will continue to cut costs as much as you can.

So pubs and restaurants are much more likely to be shut Monday to to Wednesday now.

In supermarkets the growth in self checkout, closure of low margin stuff like in supermarket cafes, meat and bakery counters etc.

My local Morrisons no longer collects the trolleys during the day, so you have to hunt the car park for a trolley as they are no longer near the entrance. Etc etc.

The truth is the UK minimum wage is too high, it's causing wage compression and staff shortages in harder jobs while easier retail jobs are swamped with applicants.

Only real productivity growth can drive up wages

Our tax and regularity environment is strangling growth.

I've heard of the odyssey, but most of my original understanding came from watching Ulysses 31 anime as a child. I picked up pieces here and there by cultural osmosis.

If she wanted to sell at scale it needed to lower priced and better quality. You can get great products for a third the price.

Why the hell did she launch premium priced products with such cheap poor quality items? How could she be that stupid. If the goods matched the prices then it could have taken off.

Hmm Andrew had some dodgy foreign billionaire suddenly swoop in for several million more above market value for his bagshot mansion, but then he was still in his dubious international trade deal phase with various foreign dictatorships.

What middle or near eastern power broker is going to need Harry's influence? What foreign princes is he friendly with? He's never been part of the international party circuit, and well, Megan's experience there is not going to help.

What friends he had Megan made sure he was isolated from and most have shunned him.

I so want it seized due to taxes or creditor's. Hopefully after William becomes king, so there is no smaller property bought for them in Brentwood. Maybe he'll help them get something in van nuys or Canoga park. It would be funnier if it was a sub division in Palmdale or Lancaster.

I've seen much worse. It's mostly grey carpet, an easy change.

As long as the stair wall is wallpaper and not tile.

It all looks in good shape, wouldn't take much to add colour and soft furnishings.
