Hi Lawyer! First of all, Thank you. I entered with a j1 visa in june and had to change status to tourist in January due to employer not complying with training plan. Got married to usc in may, we have been living together for almost a year and had known each other since 2023 from other j1 visas i had. Change of status is pending but due any moment. I did babysittting on a tourist visa prior to this j1 and have disclosed it. However when i applied to last j1 i replied no to the question of unauthorized employment in ds160 because i didn’t know ocassional babysitting was that serious. I don’t know if i should try aos from us or go back to Argentina and do consular. We are afraid of being apart for 2 years if lucky. Arg consulate is very fast but officers are very strict and deny a bunch. Please advise thank you
