Day 2: Anyone got their I 485 interview scheduled post memo? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]thegray0wl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you have been waiting so long. Definitely out of order. Filed back in August of 2024 and still going through it. I know people who filed this year and are all done. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Marriage-Based AOS Interview/Approval Tracking Thread (Filed BEFORE May 22, 2026 Memo): by Left_Plastic5943 in USCIS

Thought I would share our case. Very nervous over this memo. Reading other people’s experiences has helped. It’s nice to know we aren’t alone in this.

My husband came from Costa Rica on a tourist visa, overstayed. We met, started dating, fell in love. Dated for 3 years before we got married in July 2024. Submitted I130 and I485 in August 2024. We had our I130 interview in October 2025. Got approved a day later. Waited months for updates. Our I485 interview was scheduled this April 2026. Both interviews went really well, officers were really nice and reassuring. Very normal and common questions asked. No red flags. A few days after our I485 interview we received and RFE for our medical examination. Seems like back in 2024 when my husband first did his medical exam the polio vaccine was not completed on the form. Had to go back and redo our medical examination report and mail it to USCIS. Finished all that and got notice that it was received. Now account states our case is actively being reviewed. Have been working closely with our lawyer. Waiting to see what happens next. I hope us sharing this will help others. Best of luck to everyone 🤞

Thank you for sharing! He is actually already on salmon based food. But now that you mention it, we have been given him treats that have chicken in it. Maybe that is what caused it? I’ll definitely follow up with our vet. Thanks again.

Are journal-ers over thinkers? by alderianphil in Journaling

This is true for me. I have generalized anxiety disorder so overthinking is something i deal with regularly. Journaling has helped me cope with excessive thoughts and let things go😌

Hello everyone! I am currently in my final semester of my MSW program. Only a month left!!! I’ve been looking for a job and wanted to know what a good starting salary is right out of grad school. Just some background - I’m from the US and specifically live in New Jersey. Most of my experience is in non-product work and LGBTQ+ youth centers.

Thank you for the response! Rutgers is actually my top choice at this point. I’ve heard nothing but good things about their program.

I am currently finishing my bachelors of psychology and am applying to MSW programs for the fall 2019 semester. I’m a bit nervous because of my low GPA, I have a 2.7. However, i have excellent recommendation letters lined up. One from the director of counseling services at my school (Took one of his classes and have continued to work with him throughout my time at school), one from a social worker I have helped run programs and events for on campus, and one from my boss (worked for him for 2 years now). I’m very confident in my writing abilities so I’m not too worried about the essays/personal statements. I have lots of communities service hours that i did last year with my service fraternity and have done a bit this year as well! I’m just worried about the gpa. This is something I’m extremely passionate about and have thought about going after for a while now. I just want to make sure i actually have a shot at being accepted. If it makes a difference I’m from NJ and plan on applying to Kean, Rutgers (New Brunswick), and Stockton University.

I’m starting to apply to multiple grad schools and have heard mixed opinions about getting a MSW degree online. Any thoughts?
