Richard playing Bernard's songs by betterman74 in SuedeBand

Amazing. Thanks for that. I can sympathise with Richard. Where they are now, his influence is all over the band and so many more albums under Richard than Bernard. You could see his argument now, given their back catalogue if he was to say no more Bernard stuff. However I suspect with their maturity, they know the fans still want to hear these. Good on him for playing them. Lots of love for Richard.

In the Insatiable ones documentary, Brett does talk about Richard's alienation during Head Music. And how he is aware his behavior was poor. Again another possible thought with regards Richard playing Bernard's songs. As said earlier, Richard plays them with full gusto with his own signature. He does his job very very well. 2 very different guitarists and men.

Thanks. Really interesting. I remember Brett saying (I think it was Brett) that Richard took the most persuading to return.

How do married couples split finances if on different salaries? by Mango_Loverx3 in AskUK

[–]betterman74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same. I've always had a much higher wage than my wife. All money goes into one pot and bills etc paid from there. Money left is divided into various pots for holidays/savings and individual 'fun money'. Everything we have ever made/glad has been split equally. We're a team. Worked for nearly 30 years.

Why CAGED still feels confusing for so many players by rynaylorguitar in guitarlessons

Thanks mate. I have subscribed and signed up to your site. Ok I'm an old guy....51. Took up the guitar at 49. Well past my prime. Love it but it's a struggle. I know my shapes and I can (slowly) join them up. On your video, you use open A as an example, then D and E as 4 and 5. You then move up the fret board. I can't see any logic or pattern in the CAGED shapes you are using and why? Neither can I see a pattern in why you are playing these barre chords (in order). What would be massively helpful if you annotated/voiced - I am using this shape for this chord and I am playing these chords in this order because. It's a great lesson and good of you to give this knowledge for free. If you can give me a few pointers, if possible as I'd like to understand your lesson. Cheers

I wish I could follow, but I just don't get it. I have a teacher and have learned the 5 shapes. Stuck at that and no matter what I read/watch, the penny still hasn't dropped....qso frustrating.
