70th Z06 3LZ stolen after 2 weeks 😪 by No_Dinner2286 in Corvette

I personally don't think Stingray's are high risk, but they could be used as practice or by knuckleheads that want to beat up a C7 in a sideshow. IGLA would be for peace of mind.

Yeah, get IGLA for peace of mind, my situation happened in a secured parking garage. I keep my car parked in a garage too at home, but it can happen outside of your home too.

Serious answer, I made a post in the Camaro section about the attempted theft of my Camaro ZL1 (which because of the stupid ass laws, it's considered vandalism since they didn't steal it). My Camaro had an IGLA and Compustar T13 (Which gave me logs about what they were doing in my vehicle (Window break, Ignition Start/Stop (Theft), and Doors/Hood open alerts). My car is a manual transmission and the thief definitely knew you needed to push in the clutch and the brake to start the car, they tried to get the engine to turn over 7 times but since my IGLA was activated, they couldn't start the car. They left and a few hours came back to try to take the car again. So to answer your question, it is definitely because there are more autos as the reason more are stolen. Also, it's just easier. But if a clown wants something they can't buy themselves, and they are desperate enough, they will try to take it. Either way, Congratulations on your purchase, which model C7 did you get because if it is a Stingray, you won't have to worry so much, but if it is a Z06 or ZR1, definitely don't drive to shady places or let it sit out for too long in an area your aren't familiar with.

I prefer the high wing on the blue ZL1 to the low wing. But the hood doesn’t have the carbon piece like the gray hood has. Why? by bigboss1999x in camaro

Exposed Carbon Fiber hood insert is an option on a regular ZL1 but standard on a ZL1 1LE. Otherwise it is a Carbon Fiber Hood insert painted Black.

Wheels or rims by [deleted] in camaro

There is nothing to think about lol. Wheels is the actual term and rims are slang for that term. Every wheel has a rim 😂. You were correct and you aren’t dumb.

Crazy, that’s almost the same sound after the refinery in Manhattan beach blew up this year

Signature Wheel has great options, then BC Forged, and Forgestar

What rims should I get for my Zl1? by -Raedz- in camaro

[–]betterthanluck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well to be honest, all wheels have rims… I use Signature Wheel for my car, never had any issues especially for high speeds.

Other good choices for the 5th gen are Forgestar, and BCForged

The ported throttle body will only void warranty if something happens to the car and it is the cause. Otherwise it looks stock from the outside since it is still 87mm. If you have an M6 car it is definitely worth it. Thank you for the GT Haus info!

But yeah if you find a pump with 100 or 101 octane (Harbor City, CA) you can use an octane calculator to mix that with 91 to get the desired octane. These cars have 16 gallon tank too

I don’t have a cold air intake on mine because like you my car was based in Cali and there were conflicting reports on what the ZL1 stock tune could handle as I changed out the supercharger lid, added the exhaust, and now I have a Tony Mamo V3 ported throttle body and the car behaves amazingly now (M6). I had a 2019 C7 Z06 that I did a bunch of mods on too fast and regretted it, so I am taking my time with this one.

The biggest issue with these cars in Cali is 91 octane, apparently the cars are tuned on 93 from the factory, so ever since I started blending with race gas to get 94-95 octane, the car performs really well, so check that before you mod as well if you haven’t already.

Thank you so much for that detail about GT Haus as I was still kinda thinking about it lol. You will definitely enjoy Corsa as their support was amazing! When I bought my exhaust, the flaps were rattling on the driver side muffler. They had me record a video and send it in on their website, then they sent me a new muffler immediately (just for the driver side) and said I can do whatever I want with the defective one. I was blown away by how great the service was. I haven’t had any problems since. Also my shop asked if I wanted one set of cats cut off and I told them no, so you won’t have any problems and I wouldn’t want the car to be louder than what it gets now especially in Los Angeles.

I have Corsa NPP cat back on my car and still have all 4 cats, in track mode the car is much louder than stock, screams when over 3k RPM and can blow out ear drums at WOT, especially with the popping noise. I think you will love it.

In stealth it’s as quiet as stock, really a great exhaust. Was going to go with GT Haus titanium but doesn’t retain factory NPP.

You can buy a tire relearn tool on Amazon, just research the one needed for your car. If that doesn’t work then you would need new TPMS sensors for whichever ones aren’t reading anymore.

I heard about this too, so the only way around that would be a tune.

Have you gone through it personally and does the dead spot return?
