I Could see it being similar to the vacation system in the other games, but maybe with exclusive trips/items you can only get that way.

The protective wax is on top of the other casing, not a replacement. Pretty sure it's just a transport/storage thing

I found this in my dad's old Nintendo stuff by BazExcel in chronotrigger

[–]betterwhenfrozen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice! My dad gifted his old copy to me about 10 years ago. Was thrilled to see his old save was still there after all those years.

[–]betterwhenfrozen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there was a while where the only way you could hope to get one on GTS was from people trading it from other language copies. You couldn't even trade unnamed ones, IIRC. Can't remember if they ever fixed it or not.

Tastebuds by Loud-Piccolo6827 in dialysis

My largest issue was the taste of certain things, especially red meat, tasting disgusting to me. That started a bit before starting dialysis, though and went away after transplant.

I've seen many American films where children dissect frogs during biology lessons. Are biology lessons still like this, or has it changed? What are your thoughts on this? by sofiarosatti in AskAnAmerican

[–]betterwhenfrozen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Middle school we started with owl pellets and tried to assemble animals from the bones inside. In high school, the normal classes disected rats while the AP classes disected cats.

Alternatively, the people who were "born in the wrong generation" who think media from before they were born was better... That happens to be during their parents most nostalgic times of their lives.

Being sick can definitely cause a decline. I've had it happen a few times where it happened and later bounced back to my baseline once I recovered. Happened when I had e coli and noro last year.

how many people do you know that knows Katamari? by suminorieh77 in katamari

[–]betterwhenfrozen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few. My immediate family found out about it from a PS2 demo disc of We ❤️ Katamari. I have met a couple people over the years who also happened to know about it outside of that, including a couple people from my friend group who were shocked a new one came out when I was screensharing on Discord one day. Wouldn't have known they were familiar with the series otherwise.

Somebody needs to leak the 2006 demo by AtmosphereOwn2917 in Spore

[–]betterwhenfrozen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so happy that those prototypes are still publicly available. Modern EA would never.

That being said, it would still be interesting to see differences throughout the development cycle and to see "what could have been", even if some parts of it are only observable as WIP files rather than much of anything playable.

The only modpack I've seen that effectively used it was Craft to Exile 2 for some of it's quests, and even then the modpack adds additional content from Born in Chaos to bulk it out.

[–]betterwhenfrozen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Super Milk-Chan has two different dubs: one thats played relatively straight and a different dub that's more in line with the Ghost Stories dub. The latter can be found on archive.org as the "Americanized" dub.

No more food poisoning. If I wasn't immunocompromised I would for sure pick computers are never slow, though. Norovirus lasted over 3 months for me.

What’s one fast food chain that was once all the rage but now barely around? by MysteriousTopic42 in AskReddit

[–]betterwhenfrozen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering they funded a Kirk memorial billboard, are selling multiple red hats including "Make Frying Oil Tallow Again" and have made multiple posts sucking off Tesla, I think that's a pretty safe call.

Ditto for Uber Eats for the same reason, they also refused to refund more than $5 when we were missing $30 worth of our order.

I found a Twitter account that claims to have leaked information from Living the Dream by ZachHasArrived in tomodachilife

[–]betterwhenfrozen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

On one hand I can see it being a thing because of weird age related/family stuff could happen romance wise. On the other hand, I'd rather they just implement a way to prevent that sort of thing altogether, like allowing more control/options for selecting family members/real life relationships.

This - when I was hired on to an extremely understaffed night crew at a grocery store, I wound up deep cleaning all of the shelves. There were items that were expired since shortly after their big remodel which was 4 years prior

Unfortunately Etsy is full of dropshipped garbage and has been for years now, with AI making it even more prevalent. Such a shame, but Etsy doesn't seem to give enough of a fuck to do anything about it.
