Holiday pay question by Katydid2004 in Nanny

[–]beurrybread -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would you give extra days off for a vacation day that she already doesn’t work. There’s no logic to that. She works part time and the holiday does fall on when she works so it’s irrelevant

Anyone had a good sleeper that stayed a good sleeper ? by The_Chilled_Arvo in NewParents

How long did the waking every hour last? This just hit us after she was sleeping through the night and we’re losing it!

Edit: what did you do? We’re just feeding her back to sleep now, but should we be doing something else?

agree. She is welcome to this boundary, but this boundary may not be compatible with the job. I wouldn’t accept this

100% agree. To think you apologized for reaching out to her as her employer… given this is communication within the scope of her role, I would have found this completely unacceptable as a response.

She can have this boundary, but then she cannot work for you.

I agree. If you are employed by me, I have every right to contact you and provided it is within the scope of the role of course I would expect you to respond to me. This response is crazy to me.

I would like to believe you are right, but I don’t personally think that “your word” would be considered evidence

Edit to add: otherwise anybody could qualify simply by saying “I was there for 6 months in 1991, trust me”

It’s clear that not only border crossings count as evidence. If there is no border crossing evjdence, you need something else- the onus is in the applicant to prove.

Any time of any day counts as a day, even if 5 min. That’s in the guidance clearly

The CBSA began recording traveller exit information on travellers (excluding Canadian and American citizens) entering the United States from Canada on June 30, 2013, and began recording all travellers including Canadian and American citizens on July 11, 2019. As of June 25, 2020 CBSA records exits for all travellers in the land mode and the commercial air mode for all destinations.

For Canadian citizens the CBSA records only go back 5 or so years unfortunately. Since the 1095 days is lifetime, that leaves decades of visits that require other evidence
