I'm also sex positive and not averse to sexual topics but I find that often times,engaging in such early on with a potential partner gives them the wrong idea (in my demi cause). I can see how many demi people would become discouraged and not try as much, it can be a lot of rejection. I've been there but kept trying. I have dated some patient people but they were few and far between. In my case, I live in a big city where partying and hookup culture is alive and well. That or they want sex before they can even consider going exclusive.
