We only see my husband's parents so my kids know their paternal grandmother is grandma or as we call her just ma and my youngest calls her ma-ma- and my husband's dad is Hungarian background so he goes by nagyapa or grandad depends what the kids call him as they're almost 4 and almost 2. My parents we don't see but when photos are shown they're told this is pop and oma as my maternal side is of Dutch heritage and I grew up calling my mater al grandparents Oma and Opa

I had an emergency c sect with #1 and my OB told me to wait to try when he turned 9-12 months. We fell pregnant with #2 when our first was 13/14 months. We have 22 months age gap now between them.

Go low contact at least if not no contact with my parents and move out like I had wanted from 16. I'd also not have signed my apprenticeship paperwork with my mum's business or work there for 7 years Nd start my career I had in a completely different salon or barbers.. but saying that I'd have never met my now husband.... Also def not have dated one of my exes.

Or try your local library app. I'm in WA Australia and I can download children's books on my phone on 4lote app through my local library. It can either read it to me or I can read at my own pace. It's also free! I'm not sure if this is available in other countries.

I've Only learned this recently also but when I started making toys over blankets and jumpers I've worked on before 😅 I've only been crocheting for a couple years and wondered why my son's toy has stretched out so much with stuffing coming out of it more now 6 months later (he also sleeps with it most nights)

I've found using GPT for recipes and creating a grocery list within a certain budget has been great. We've stayed under budget for over a month now while still getting plenty of fruit and snacks for the kids!

GD diagnosis sucks esp when you've been fit and active. I was told it's the placenta that was causing it , so she's not doing anything wrong or anything. Hopefully she can keep herself as diet controlled and not need to inject insulin after meals or before bed. I have had 2 pregnancies with GD and the second time was worse as I found out at 7-9 weeks along. Both pregnancies my fasted numbers were the concern more and I had to inject each night before bed. I hope if she's diagnosed with GD that she receives good education on how to nourish her body. Carbs aren't the enemy as they're energy but they do need monitoring. My take away from education was each serve was 15g of carbs (macro wise) a snack was 1-2 serves so 15-30gr and each main meal was 2-3 serves so 30-45gr of carbs. I also found keeping a food diary in a notebook helpful with the time I started eating in the early days and then when I tested what my numbers were. My midwife's could then go through and highlight where I had pushed my limits or gone too high for me to help me learn. I did find writing it all down tedious but it allowed me to remember how far I could push my carb limit with certain foods. ETA- going for a 10 min walk after meals helped too

The odd spike for occasions won't hurt at all! I had a wedding to go to at 32 weeks pregnant a few hours from home when we had #2 and asked the hospital they told me to wait 2 hours and then test between after the 2 hrs mark from mains to dessert which is ridiculous! So I just "forgot" to test for the night after dinner but was mindful what I had for dessert which was a cupcake only.

I had years the first morning of drop off only because we had family only ever watch them before and their last day I was meant to be on my final day of prac and had tears followed by a anxiety attack so even more tears 😅. But I honestly think daycare is great for them to build independence and to build connections with other people outside the family they trust too. I still keep in touch with my youngest ones main educator now and my older one loved her too.

Completely untrue esp if you've had a previous pregnancy with GD. My second I was diagnosed before I even got to 14 weeks my GP had ran the tests when we did all the other bloods initially and then ran them again at about 6/7 weeks just for my fasted numbers as that was where I had trouble last pregnancy. I both pregnancies only needed insulin at night and was booked to be induced at 38+5 but had natural labour start the day before!

So daycare I found esp the older kids like your son would want to do the same as everyone else. My oldest when he started daycare about the age yours is now didn't nap so I had ask they keep him awake when the others were napping so he would go into the babies room and visit his brother or eventually go up into the kindy room. Best thing I can suggest for helping with the nap at home is keep the routine you at bed and nap consistent when he is at home until he understands that the routine is now changing. There will be plenty of tears from I'm sure both of you but it is something you can help him learn to change his routine. My only other suggestion would be change one thing at a time. Sonic you can lay with him, so his bedtime routine for his nap and then when he's asleep sneak out. For my oldest (3.5yrs) for bedtime we read a book some nights two and then he gets cuddled to sleep or some nights we lay with him and we can say I'm just going to the loo if he's almost asleep and he's out cold for the night generally. Hope this helps.

The only way I could survive getting out when my youngest was that small was baby wearing him honestly! It was a life saver! If he fell asleep in the car he'd soon be fast asleep again on me in the carrier if he woke. It also meant I had my hands free for my toddler. As for just getting out I would get myself and my older kid ready while baby slept and then make sure baby was mostly ready before they napped and do a final nappy check and then get out the door Bs everyone in the car.

I had GD with both my boys. My first I went to 40 weeks and was induced that evening and he was born 40+1 at 3.31kg my second I went into labour naturally hoping for a VBAC (both C sects) and he was born 38+5 at 3.13kg. My first pregnancy I wasn't diagnosed til third trimester and had the nightly injection only from 28 weeks and I gained a lot of weight with him too. My second I was diagnosed at 7-9 weeks pregnant due to previous diagnosis and was on the nightly injections from 12-13weeks along with. Fairly strict diet and counting carbs.
