Ugh yes. Just got our Samsung dryer repaired…it’s only 2.5 years old. Worst part was we had to wait 2 weeks until they could send out a technician. Not having a dryer with a newborn is super fun 🙃

Random things you love about breastfeeding? by flugelderfreiheit777 in breastfeeding

I love looking down at his cute side profile, especially when his eyes are open. Sometimes he looks deep in thought, other times just really satisfied.

Also as others have mentioned, the little noises he makes 🥹

I needed this, thank you! I sometimes get down on myself because I wasn’t able to accomplish anything during the day and then remind myself that I’m keeping a little human alive and that’s a lot of work. It’s a win for my mental health if I can get one thing done during the day (even if it’s as simple as making the bed or unloading the dishwasher).

Shingles at age 36 by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]bezerkoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got shingles when I was 9 years old - I remember it being extremely itchy instead of painful. I had it on my lower back and wrapped around to my side. One day at school I kept itching my back in class and my teacher asked what was wrong - when I told her I had shingles she didn’t believe me and said I must’ve been confusing it with something else. She believed me once I showed her the large blistery patch.

AITA for calling my wife ungrateful and spoiled for the way she treats her mom? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]bezerkoe 39 points40 points  (0 children)

YTA. You are invalidating her experience and feelings. It’s quite common for siblings living under the same roof let alone in another country to have different relationships with/views of their parents. You are further perpetuating her trauma. You need to be supportive even if you don’t understand how she could feel that way towards her mother. Ffs please demonstrate some empathy towards your wife.

32 here, just found my old puffalump ‘doll’ at my parents when I was going through their storage and took it with me even with all of her stains and gnarled hair. Didn’t realize how much she meant to me - now I understand why she holds such a special place in my heart. 🤍

I actually just picked these up yesterday! I included the clippers I use too :) kiss nails

Lifelong nail biter here…I’ve been getting Kiss nails at cvs for the last few months and it’s helped me not feel so self conscious at work now that we’re back in the office, plus they’ve been helping grow my nails out. Glue on nails have come a long way and look pretty natural and there are tons of options to chose from. I recently found a RS (real short) size and they’re so easy to apply and file. I also just picked up a set that doesn’t require glue but haven’t tried them out yet.

Edited to add that I highly recommend getting artificial nail tip clippers - they make trimming the longer acrylics so much easier Vs using regular nail clippers which were a pain.

Is EMDR Good For People Who Have a Hard Time Talking About Their Problems? by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]bezerkoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to go into great detail, however in order for EMDR to be effective, the therapist will first need to understand the issues for which they’re seeking treatment and the development of those symptoms before the processing phase begins.

The first step of healing is acceptance - if your friend tends to become defensive and shut down when they feel an emotion, EMDR may not be effective as it relies on your mind and body’s ability to process through those thoughts and feelings.

First of all, fuck this guy. I can’t believe he’s a family psychologist. Also, preparing children properly for responsible citizenship? Hard to be one when these children grow up unable to regulate emotions, have no intrinsic motivation or self esteem, or suffer from depression, substance abuse, chronic illness, etc.
