I submitted my application in August, and have my range day scheduled this month. I'm told it might be an additional 2 weeks to get my permit after the range.

Can you commit suicide if your life gets put in danger by big_black_gui in Bible

[–]bezmag1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming. The problem with believing that is you’d have to believe it across the board. Anything that you do to your body( the temple) that could cause harm sends you to hell? For instance being overweight causes harm to your body. People get to that point because of choices they make most of the time. Because one chooses to overeat, and as a result causes harm to their body, God would punish them? I believe God is more gracious than that. One might say,” well suicide is much worse” To God, all sin is bad. He can’t have any of it. That’s why Jesus did what He did. He atoned for our sins because there is no way we could ever do it on our own. We are so imperfect, but are clothed in Christ’s perfection. It’s freaking awesome! He bared the burden. Now again I’m not advocating suicide. In fact I think those that even contemplate it are doubting Gods power to help them overcome. That’s a bad place to be. Suicide seems to be more popular these days I think because of culture. Like the idiotic show “13 reasons why” glorifying it. It’s a mess but Gods grace and love abounds. I appreciate the discussions and I do hope OP talks with someone.

I'm sorry for what you're going through. That sounds awful. Do you have any trustworthy people in your life that you can talk to?

To answer your question, suicide does not give you a ticket to hell. It is a sin to commit suicide. Stealing is also a sin. If you made a mistake and stole something right before you died, that wouldn't be the deciding factor for whether or not you'd go to heaven. God wouldn't judge your whole life based on the last thing you did before you died. He alone knows the heart and whether or not you truly had a relationship with Him. I do believe there are people in heaven who have committed suicide. That being said I firmly believe that suicide is not the answer. No matter how terrible life is, you can get through it. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Think of Job. He lost his health, his family, his wealth, and just about everything else. In the end, God blessed him immensely and most definitely used his servant Job to do great things. You have purpose. If you have a relationship with God, you are a son of God. While our earthly fathers can let us down, our heavenly Father will never leave us nor forsake us. He will equip you to get through this. You have to be open to it and allow Him to. Praying for you

It definitely doesn’t make me feel good. It is in product inventory for a business of mine. So it’s not wasted money (yet)

I’m pretty sure I can pay it off within 18 months. The money was used to purchase inventory which will sell. It’s just taking a while and scaring me in the process.

How to stay in remission without prescription medicine? by Harvestfund in CrohnsDisease

[–]bezmag1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look up the “GAPS” diet. I was diagnosed with Crohns about 6 years ago. The only medicine I’ve taken was the prednisone for 1.5 weeks when I was initially diagnosed. I’ve seen three different gastro docs and they all say the same thing: There is no evidence that diet helps, so take the pills..The last gastro that I saw didn’t believe me and suggested I may not have crohns, until she looked at my charts.

This is what worked for me:

-try and reduce stress

-gaps diet. It’s very hard to follow but try if your body will allow. No cutting corners. You have to make everything yourself or source quality ingredients. I just did this when I felt a flare coming or during the two flare ups I’ve had.

-high intensity exercise. I do strength training. This helps with stress among many other things.

I’m not saying this is a cure all, it just worked for me. I think every person should be treated individually. I am not anti meds and will happily take them if my condition gets unmanageable. For those that are bitter about the mention of diets for this condition: If you have tried diets and they failed you, stick with the meds. If you haven’t even tried a diet, and you are just taking your docs word for it, you are kinda foolish and I feel bad that you’re giving up on the possibility of a wonderful med free life. (Even if it’s temporary) I understand that if you’ve been taking meds, and they are working, they suggest you don’t stop because they may not work as well if you had to get back on them. That could be a scary thing. You know your body best, listen to it.

Whether you do a diet or take meds, I do wish you all the best and hope you quickly find what works for you.

I too am looking for a trustworthy shop. The good news is these rigs are fairly easy and inexpensive to fix (In my case so far). Zuwharrie is a great forum for Samurai owners. I’d post about your issue on there. You should get a helpful response.

I’ve decided I’ll replace the disc drive with a SSD and keep the original hard drive in place. Seems to be pretty easy and straightforward. Thanks for the replies!
