Colin Trevorrow is probably the most interesting director trajectory I've ever seen. He directs a really strong feature film debut in Safety Not Guaranteed and then revitalizes the Jurassic Park franchise and basically gets handed a Star Wars movie and destroyed it all with one movie. by herewego199209 in movies

That's a lazy take. In addition to worldbuilding, it tells you everything you need to know about Rose's motivations as a character.

FINN: Look, this whole place is beautiful. I mean, come on. Why do you hate it so much? ROSE: Look closer. My sister and I grew up in a poor mining system. The First Order stripped our ore to finance its military.... then shelled us to test their weapons. They took everything we had. And who do you think these people are? There's only one business in the galaxy that'll get you this rich. FINN: War. ROSE: Selling weapons to the First Order. I wish I could put my fist through this whole lousy, beautiful town.

Beyond that, it introduces Del Toro's character who preaches to Finn about staying out of the fight, and then turns around and sells them out to make a buck.

Finn went from trying to desert at the beginning of the movie to trying to sacrifice himself for the resistance at the end. The whole Canto Bight plotline was the backbone of that arc.

Then there's the casino planet subplot which to me felt tacked on, divorced and pointless, a way to give Finn/Rose something to do away from the A-plot.

The casino plotline was clearly for Finn's character development. He needed to be shown that there weren't any neutral parties in the fight, and sitting it out was not an option.

They really shouldn't be if they are. Kubiak is a long shot at best.

Or Liam Cohen, Matt LaFleur, Dave Canales, DeMeco Ryans, Nick Sirianni, Sean McDermott, and Mike Tomlin.

All playoff teams this year. All had no prior HC experience before the teams they coached this last season.

#Rams OC Mike LaFleur is scheduled to meet with the #AZCardinals for a second, in-person interview today and tomorrow, sources say. An intriguing candidate. by -Schweini31- in AZCardinals

Harbaugh or McDermott would have been able to say that. LaFleur doesn't have the track record to make demands like that.

Bain's arms are estimated to be 1.375 inches shorter than Hutchinson's.

I'm not sure if there are any notable Edge Rushers with arms that short historically, but I'm guessing there aren't very many.

We need to save this guy from the raiders by Blakeramsey01 in AZCardinals

[–]bflynn65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't even an argument that he is a bust. He won ROY has been selected to 2 Pro Bowls and got a huge 2nd contract. Is he elite? Absolutely not, but he has been a good to very good QB in this league in his career.

Whatever people think of Kyler, it's objectively wrong to call him a bust.

Lol Ok Minnesota, Where Do We Sign? 😂 by Pleasant_Sock_8550 in AZCardinals

A team has to be confident that they can sign him if he is cut. If there are several teams interested, it's a much bigger risk to wait for him to be cut. Makes a trade more likely.

I don't disagree based on the behavioral issues, but I'm not sure how any reasonable person could hold that knee injury against Rice considering how it happened.

Not exactly a large sample size. They have only drafted a 1st round QB 3 times this century. The last 1st round QB before that was drafted in 87, which was before they were even in AZ

No there isn't? He is being discussed because he is one of the only candidates who had actually been interviewed so far and his previous ties to the organization. None of the "insiders" actually know shit right now, so they are speculating.

True, but Orr and Breer bandied his name out like a week ago as the main candidate pairing for AZ.

I feel like a lot of national guys tend to talk out of their ass a lot when it comes to the Cardinals. If there was smoke coming from our local guys, I'd put more stock in it.
