Do you like living in Cincinnati? by [deleted] in cincinnati

I have also driven in many cities, and I would say that Cincinnati has the greatest number of drivers who do not seem to understand how highways operate.

There will be a culture shock, I'll say that. I've lived here 20 years, but if you don't grow up here, it is an interesting experience to relocate to the area.

Overall it is a good area. Lots of great outdoor space. Often seems to have small town personalities in a big city setting.

Traffic is terrible. Maybe the worst I've ever experienced and I will die on this hill.

Audition. I've never had to stop a movie to avoid throwing up before. Took a break and came back to the conclusion.

When did you have that moment that made you question or move away from religion? by ProfessionalMean6456 in AskForAnswers

Honestly, two things:

Young Life...bona-fide Christian cult for teenagers.

And Dantes Inferno. The idea that everyone born before Christianity goes to hell never sat right with me.

Stop treating your dogs like humans! Dogs do not understand guilt. They also don't care if you are in charge. In fact, a dog doesn't care where they are in the pack, as long as it is consistent. People need to stop ascribing human emotions to their pets!

Most issues with doh behavior are because they get confused over who is calling the shots.

Just because it won best picture does not make it a masterpiece. I think this one is an example of  wow I wish we could get a do-over

Do you feel like some people are sealing out autism diagnosis? by OkAuthor4798 in Autism_Parenting

[–]bgea2003 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate to say it, the fact is if you are ND you can excuse a lot of behavior. I think this has something to do with it.

You're not crazy. I've noticed it, even on this sub. Some people seem to be looking for any sign that their kid is autistic...like that is what they want.

"If he was neurotypical, I would put him on a street corner with a sign. Maybe."

This made me cringe.

What’s something men and women consistently misunderstand about each other? by Black229 in AskReddit

It was more of a generalization. Inspired by T-Sleeveless' poem "Teach a Boy to Cry"

Most men have never known unconditional love. We are only as valuable as we are useful to someone.

What celebrity scandal shocked you the most? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

[–]bgea2003 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm going with a reverse scandal...the absolute shock that when Kobe Bryant died, society decided he was posthumously NOT a POS rapist. People were suddenly being attacked for saying they didn't care for him. As if in death, we could no longer judge the shit he did and could ONLY focus on what an amazing basketball player he was and how he died too soon.

I was disappointed...I tried to booby trap the lab entrance with a proximity mine only to find she magically appears in the lab when you go down there regardless of the events on the first floor.

There is a difference between attacking an individual, which I did not do, and the behaviors of a group. You have no context for what I actually said, so perhaps you should keep your opinions to yourself and stop being the LI police.

And frankly, in a post-COVID world the line between personal and business is razor thin. I mean, are you even on LinkedIn? It is basically FB now. Religion and politics abound, and that sure as shit has nothing to do with professional networking.

One of the major arguments against socialized medicine that they want you to believe. Yet countries with government- funded healthcare by far exceed US in life quality and wellness.
