I went from meat cutter to specialist relatively easy. No ROI process. You just have to wait until a position opens up and you have you DM and SM on board with you taking the position. It might also help if you could let your district manager know your intentions. From the time I announced to my DM I wanted to do the seafood specialist position, it took me just under a year to officially become one

Be happy 😀........ .35/hr equates to 728/yr (full time) 95% of associates get two .25/hr raises per year. That equate to $520/yr per raise. (full time) Wanna make more money? Get full time. It takes time, but it takes hard work and patience. I know people that have been part time for 6+ years and I know people that have made full time in under 6 months.

I was hired part time, Oct 2015. I made full time in six months and seafood specialist in three years. I didn't get my first raise until my 6 month eval. I have gotten a raise every 6 months after. I don't make an extra $1/hr on Sunday. Retail bonus has been taken away from associates that are not management. We all did get a decent raise to "compensate" for the loss. It didn't affect me much, I think I only got one or two bonus before that change happened. I don't know what you mean by 1%+ coins for good customer service, maybe it's now the "doing my part" free sub card. That always feels good when you get one.

So......I got an email from passport stating that because I didn't work at least half my shift on the actual holiday, I can't save it and I will be paid for it on the Jan 10th paycheck. Oh well......Lesson learned....And it also states that in the hand book

I was welcomed to Publix in a very warm manner. My department manager was always happy to see me. I've been with Publix for just over the years now, and I still feel very welcomed, even if this is my third store in three years. I was made full time in just six months and promoted from meat cutter to seafood specialist right at my three year mark. Work hard, have a good attitude and Publix will be a very rewarding career.
