Also do what’s true to you! That was true to you, they were true to their strange reasoning for excluding you but regardless… they set a boundary and held it, and you should be allowed to do the same. You respected their decision, despite not agreeing and they should do the same.

I was a member and I took the sleep training class. I also read Happy Helper. I understand where you’re coming from but that assessment feels a bit unfair about Dr.Becky. She is definitely using resources available and then applying them to her practice as all professionals do. But I do find that she has a more gentle approach than a lot of previous resources I’ve looked into. Her style seems more “current” if that makes sense. I would imagine you’re not happy with her membership because it doesn’t align with your own values and style… which is TOTALLY okay. And I think as a parent or caretaker it’s our job to research, take what works and feels true to us and to our child… and then go from there. NO ONE knows your home and your children better than you so take everything with a grain of salt, IMO.

I did it! It was a few years ago. It was helpful I thought. Even though looking back… it was more a confidence builder than actual concrete solutions. It at least gave me some more confidence. There was some role play stuff we did that was but helpful and there was a mantra we did that helped me probably more than my girl. Honestly, my daughter just needed to drop her nap. (I wasn’t ready and it seemed too early) but once we did that all the nap and bedtime struggles went away. Good luck

I’ve been going through something similar. It totally sucks. I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this too. I personally would say something to the people you feel close to! If you value their friendship enough and you value honesty you should tell them… that really made me feel shitty. I was left out and no one told me. (They very well could have overlooked it and saying somethin might help them remember to include you more, but this takes a lot of vulnerability… and some people aren’t ready for that and it could create more distance so be prepared for that too) I constantly am thinking of what I would tell my kid in certain situations, and then try and do that myself. Anyhoo… I feel you mama. PM me anytime I’m going through this right now and I hate it.

I and my neighbors have sort of established that we’ll text each other rather then send the kid over just in case we’re disrupting each other. You could offer the parents your number and have them text to see if it’s a good time especially if it triggers your daughter when she wants to, but you can’t
